A Few years ago i was working for the Royal Mail has a Postman ,working shifts from 8am to 7pm every night ,so fitting in a running program was tight , on this day it was 7.45 pm I finished so I did not bother getting changed , and did my run along the longrock to Penzance coast path in my Postman's uniform ...Only to get chased along the way first by an alsation then another dog ...Never go running in a postman's uniform !!!

Hi LedZep

Can’t say I’ve ever tried running in a Postman’s uniform! Sounds like a suit of armour would have been beneficial; or maybe just the trousers, but I’m not sure how practical that would be for running.

Incredible that a Dog can recognise a Postal uniform. 😃 I have a 6 month old Cocker Spaniel puppy and regularly bring her for walks along a River path off the lead. She is very good and only goes to people when they show her attention. But she loves to run along with a runner if they pass, just to play, but thankfully is very good at coming back when called.

Hi Damien

From my experience, that's fine.

It's dogs who get between my feet that cause problems!

Wow, pavlovian response at its worst. Hope you’re ok. That would have freaked me out

What is it with dogs and postal deliveries! My dog hates the postman and barks at him. I am so embarrassed 😳 running in your uniform 😂

Hi LedZep

It's the florescent jackets that they go for, for whatever reason. My 2 dogs bark like crazy when the postie comes. Also if a cyclist or runner goes past with a luminous jacket on. Fortunately, with my 2 dogs their bark is worse than their bite, because they certainly don't bite.

Good luck with future runs.

Some people bring their dogs on Parkrun. You’d be very popular as a front runner 🏃🏻‍♂️🦮
