Not in my Plan! ☹️

It wasn’t the running! It was somewhere in my (over)enthusiastic gardening. Something went not so much “ping” as “sprong” and now, no running!

Humph, 😨 and grrrrr.

Wendy the Wonder Working Chiropractor has had a good go and says soothing things about walking first and then trying a little jog. And she’s taught me things to do with a tennis ball I had NEVER imagined. 😱

And of course the weather has been perfect for running ever since.

New empathy here for everyone’s tribulations on the IC. May we all be running, jogging and shuffling along happily REALLY soon. 😊

So sorry to hear something went sprong, that damn gardening isn't good for you clearly! You do appear to have a cheery outlook still, which is obviously great & you have also done best thing getting some physio quickly! Treat your ic time as a well earned rest.... There's a long summer of running ahead of us all! 😉 💐

I do hope so. Being very well-behaved to try to hurry up the healing.

sending sympathy... another excuse for me not to tend to my garden which does need some attention...

Should come with a warning!!

Aww that’s not great. Let’s hope that sprong soon becomes spring in your step. Hopefully the tennis ball will work some magic. Wishing you a very speedy recovery.

Ohhhhh not good. But hopefully with a bit of rest u will make a speedy recovery.

Tennis balls are fab! Have one in my drawer at work... And often sit on it!! 😂😂

Take it easy.

Yep. Sitting on it is one of Wendy’s recommended activities. 😳

Oh what rotten luck! Boo. Well done for getting some professional help - hope you will be walking (and then running) pain free again soon. I'm dreading the IC again... no doubt it will happen but I don't want it to!!

Too true. One group on here I didn’t want to join! 🤭

So sorry to hear your socks will have to stay in the drawer. Gardening has got a lot to answer for. I hope you are back running soon.

Thanks! The socks are all in mourning.

So sorry to hear that Granspeed. What a shame - although seeing the weather forecast for tomorrow it doesn’t look like you’ll be missing much! 💨 💦

You sound upbeat, and I’m sure that goes a long way to help the healing process, so hopefully you’ll be back on track after some sustained tennis ball action! 🤞🤞🤞

I feel your pain 😩 I've just got back to running after nearly two months on the IC after a gardening thing. Honestly, a I think I've had more injuries through gardening than running over the years 🙄

Hope you're not too long out.....and enjoy the balls.....🙂

Argh. Defo not trying to beat your 2 month record. Glad you’re back - all these replies give me hope. 😊

Soooooo frustrating, but glad you are taking a cheery and pragmatic view and hope you will be running again soon Granspeed. Wish it wasn't so, but your posting is a positive reminder to be a bit more conscious of activities on the allotment today. I tend to be a bit gung ho when I get stuck in and have just halved my to do list!

Very wise. I think I got completely carried away in the good weather. And of course, the retribution came later! Happy gardening anyway. 😄
