It wasn’t the running! It was somewhere in my (over)enthusiastic gardening. Something went not so much “ping” as “sprong” and now, no running!
Humph, 😨 and grrrrr.
Wendy the Wonder Working Chiropractor has had a good go and says soothing things about walking first and then trying a little jog. And she’s taught me things to do with a tennis ball I had NEVER imagined. 😱
And of course the weather has been perfect for running ever since.
New empathy here for everyone’s tribulations on the IC. May we all be running, jogging and shuffling along happily REALLY soon. 😊

So sorry to hear something went sprong, that damn gardening isn't good for you clearly! You do appear to have a cheery outlook still, which is obviously great & you have also done best thing getting some physio quickly! Treat your ic time as a well earned rest.... There's a long summer of running ahead of us all! 😉 💐
Aww that’s not great. Let’s hope that sprong soon becomes spring in your step. Hopefully the tennis ball will work some magic. Wishing you a very speedy recovery.
Oh what rotten luck! Boo. Well done for getting some professional help - hope you will be walking (and then running) pain free again soon. I'm dreading the IC again... no doubt it will happen but I don't want it to!!
So sorry to hear that Granspeed. What a shame - although seeing the weather forecast for tomorrow it doesn’t look like you’ll be missing much! 💨 💦
You sound upbeat, and I’m sure that goes a long way to help the healing process, so hopefully you’ll be back on track after some sustained tennis ball action! 🤞🤞🤞
I feel your pain 😩 I've just got back to running after nearly two months on the IC after a gardening thing. Honestly, a I think I've had more injuries through gardening than running over the years 🙄
Hope you're not too long out.....and enjoy the balls.....🙂
Soooooo frustrating, but glad you are taking a cheery and pragmatic view and hope you will be running again soon Granspeed. Wish it wasn't so, but your posting is a positive reminder to be a bit more conscious of activities on the allotment today. I tend to be a bit gung ho when I get stuck in and have just halved my to do list!
