A fantastic week of running!

Had such a great week with my runs this week. Every single run felt comfortable and most importantly enjoyable!!

After the week of glorious weather we had last week, I enjoyed a 3.5km in the rain, a 5km in the snow and a 7km in the cold this week! A run in the snow was certainly a first but I actually really enjoyed it! ⛄️

My pace has definitely dropped off, and i’m finding even in my shorter runs my pace is slower too, but i’m really not worried. I enjoyed every single run I did this week and that is the main thing! Turns out you enjoy your runs a lot more when you’re not panting your way through waiting for it to end 😂

Oh - and I did a 7km!! Wow! If you’d of told me when I first did C25K i’d be able to run for nearly 50 minutes I would never have believed it, but now even next week’s 8km seems achievable! 😁

Happy Saturday!

Good run for you, so glad that you love running, that 8K next time will probably be around one hour, yes running for a hour will be a great achievement for you. 😊 🏃🏾

That sounds like a fantastic week. I’ve had similar, and I was also considering how much my pace had slowed to get used to running the longer distances. I caught myself thinking I’d gone backwards since graduating and then had the same realisation that I never thought I’d be able to happily run that longer distance. I thought I was running comfortably before and I really wasn’t!

Good luck with your 8km next week. Is that the magic plan you’re following? I recognise those distances!

It’s amazing isn’t it! 30 minutes seemed like such a far away goal when I did C25K, I remember when even 5 minutes seemed daunting! I may have slowed but I am enjoying my runs so much more and that is so much more important 🙏🏼

Yes I’ve just finished week 3 of the magic plan, onto week 4 next week!

Almost the same here! I’m a week ahead but it’s the same as week 4. Good luck this week.

I’m looking out of the window and realising how spoilt I’ve been with the weather recently. It’s been ages since I’ve had a properly wet run. The prospect of going out isn’t filling me with joy…

Back in November I did a run in freshly fallen snow. It's a great feeling.
