Run 1 Short run, expected to be ok but can bite you on the bottom. This week was ok.
Run 2 5km this was hard this week but I don’t know why it wasn’t any faster than usual this made me worry about completing run 3 which was 7km run.
Run 3 Did it! 😀It was hard I tried to set off slower and I thought I had but it was my usual pace. 7km 47:30 . I can feel it in my legs a few more aches. Resting for 2 days now then on to week 4.
I have nothing left after 3rd run so I am just going to trust the plan and hope I can get to the magic 10 km or 60 mins along way off yet. 🤞

Great week. I agree on the shorter runs, they really can bite! I find with my 5k runs that when it feels hard it’s often slower... an easy feeling run tends to give me nice even pacing which adds up to a quicker overall run. I get achy legs when upping my distance or pace, so not too surprised that you have achy legs now... keep them loose and don’t sit for too long, you’ll be good to go again for sure. Each km you add is less than the last in terms of how much it pushes your total endurance... you went from 6 to 7 with a 15% addition, 7 to 8 is only 13%... those first added kilometres are the hardest to achieve... you’ll run 10 soon, and the legs will ache a little less each time if you’re careful with pace.
Did it this morning- 7.2k in 47-50. Average 6 mins 39 pace. Speeded up for last k- kept it slower than normal to 6k as was worried I would not make it!! Easier for some reason than the 6k last week. Loved it!!!! Am Julia Payn on strava if you use it and want to follow? X
Brilliant well done, that’s a great time as well. Hope my 7km will be easier next week. Still have the short and 5km to do first. I don’t do Strava any more I have a Garmin watch so I don’t need to take phone with me. I will follow you on here.
Ah!! I also have Garmin- it uploads to strava as I sometimes cycle as well and it all goes on there 😀😀😀 For my short run I try and go faster to increase fitness- it’s my least favourite run but am loving ju ju’s plan!!
