I’m still running!

I haven’t posted in a while! I’m still out there but I’ve actually reduced the runs from every other day to about twice a weeek. Why? I’m doing more strength training! And I’ve been getting on my bike more now that the weather is nicer. I will say that since doing the hit workouts and getting a much stronger core my pace is really improving. I’ve opted for shorter runs on dirt trails also (7km) rather than 10. Cause the knees don’t love it. This does make for a slightly slower pace whilst jumping over roots but being in the forest is great fun. I hope u all are still loving running and if you’ve lost the motivation or getting bored of the same old route - change it up! Sometimes a break or a new thing will help you appreciate the old faithful run later on. Best of luck everyone and if your in the uk - try a bank holiday may challenge! This pick is from a holiday morning run in Mexico. Who says jet lag is a bad thing

Enjoy your Holiday in Mexico. I need to start doing some strength and conditioning on my rest days.

thanks! Definitely enjoyed the change of scenery but had to wake up at 5 to avoid the heat. However was a great excuse to have a relaxed sunrise morning which was before the kids get up and about.

Same here! My diversion into strength is because of injury but I think it will be really good for me. It sounds like it’s doing wonders for you!

Really lovely to hear that you’re getting on so well. Have a fantastic holiday! 🇲🇽 🏃‍♀️❤️

Thanks for the sweet message! Goodluck with the injury recovery- I can definitely relate! It was more the impatient feeling that was hardest to manage, which ended up takin me longer probably to recover cause I’d do stuff too soon and too hard. Tc! 💪❤️

Thank you! Patience has been very hard to find and I’ve had a few bumps in the road from trying to push along a little quickly. Luckily I’ve got a great physio who seems to understand runners and how hard we find it not to run!!! Building back steadily now. Thanks again for the good wishes! ❤️
