And there we were, drinking tea in bed and Willow muttering it’s cold out there and for the second day in a row snow flakes fell from the sky…. I wandered in to the kitchen and said I’d got to run because I invited Jo, Willow said he’d pass…. then it hit me! It’s one of Willows daughters birthday meal out this evening, presents bought ✅ wrapped tick ✅ Pretty bag filled tick ✅ but I always make the cake 🎂 whoops…. check ingredients and start baking.
Message from Jo, O can make 11.30…. me… give me til 12 I’ve got a cake in the oven….
So 12 came and there we shivered, Jo had already been out this morning so had more layers than me, it’s about 500 metres round our park so warm up walk 1 run. one walk one run one, neither of us had music so we talked…. and talked, we weren’t running fast but i was puffing a bit, could still talk though!
Her little dog ran around and barked at any dog that came into the park, we smiled and said hello to many people, 3k and left the park, round the golf course, what’s going on? sticks/stakes in a line rather curvy line, hope it’s trees not roads! Round the other side and oh my 😮there’s a track, wow this is going to be amazing to run through the bigger wildlife park and round the lake. Back past the river, very slow with plenty of walking 5k done, walk back to the car and we’ll the snow didn’t come to anything but it’s blimmin’ cold out there !
Enjoy your day whatever you are doing, I’m home, light lunch and going to soak in a hot bath then out to dinner tonight, I’m not a cake decorator but with a few candles it’ll be ok

Oh well done you for braving the weather. That's 2 days on a row I've wimped out. It's not so much the cold, but that wind is bitter and so strong. The horizontal driving snow was the icing on the cake - so to speak 🤭😉
It’s milder here but with wind feels like 2 degrees and i wouldn’t have gone if i hadn’t arranged to meet Jo, but very glad i did, I will try and get out every day as it’s going to get milder Did I see you finished your walking challenge? well done 👍
That cake looks sooo delicious! 🎂😋 Haha you're braver than me. I was supposed to go out this morning but it was so windy our bed was shaking (our house is very old and drafty) plus we had hail stones and snow all morning... Nah, I stayed indoors 🥶🤣 it's now just very cold and very windy so I might brave it later this afternoon. Or just wait until tomorrow! Enjoy your dinner and cake! 🎉
Wow, getting out in that cold! I'm afraid my resilience to the cold at this time of year is at an all time low. I can deal with it during the actual winter, but I'm staying indoors! You are just amazing - where do you get your energy from?
I don’t have a lot of energy and it was only when i got out there i realised how cold it was but we ran slowly and chatted and soon warmed up Willow is like you though, he stayed in the warm
I noticed last week when we drove past that they’re surfacing the east side of the lake which will be great if I have to run the buggy round it again (assuming you mean that park?)
Well done getting out in the cold. Yes pretty cold no sow this morning just 1 degree same as yesterday with a slight snow flurry. Determined to get out yesterday whatever the weather needed my steps challenge 300000 steps. A lot of steps but includes on feet all day work. Have a good night out 😊

Thank you, i don’t eat much cake but the girls said it was better than the shop one, it was a bit of a shock when i realised i make a cake but had forgotten to plan it and the run was great 😊 it’s different running with Jo, but it’s the differences that keeps me motivated i run with Willow then with Jo and sometimes on my own so lots of variety

Well done you, weather is awful isn't it. Cake looks yummy!! I only eat chocolate at the weekend and your photo has just reminded me I have a box of After Eights in the fridge from Xmas, that my other half has had his eye on for weeks!! 🤣
