Hiya,
Yesterday was week 2 lesson 2 of the app Start 2 Run that I am following. Despite the fact I am doing this on the treadmill I must say I am actually feeling enthusiastic every time. No scary people who can accost me (or I hope so!).
Yesterday I did have a bit of wrestling with my tablet, it kept closing YouTube down. After several minutes of cursing on the little thing (it's a cheap tablet I received as a gift when buying a course somewhere, but my other tablet is too old and does not support YouTube) it gave up its fight and meekly let YouTube run.
Earbuds in, Spotify on, S2R app on and YouTube showing me a movie of running in some nice scenery. Couple of dynamic stretches after which I started the treadmill and first walked a few minutes. Afterwards connected my Garmin watch with Runn, turned on the S2R app and watch and the started my run!
Run / walk intervals which increase in run-length every week I think, just like with C25K. This time I started my running intervals at 6,1 km/h and increased again every interval with 0,1 km/h (did the same with my walking intervals). By the end I must say though I felt I was getting a work-out. So I must remain cautious and not go too fast too eh... too fast. Whatever. So I best now stay on these speeds and not try to increase more, else I might lose my enthusiasm.
In the end I run/walked 24 minutes and did 2,14 km (without the warm-up and cooling down walks).
Cheers, Evy
