Just had a moment of imagining life without HU, and can't imagine I would have got this far without the community it gives me.
I'm pottering around the house getting ready for my longest run so far (6 miles) and in between my prep I'm readings posts here like having a chat. Cup of coffee & a browse of posts about cold weather. Some stretches while reading people's run reports. Waiting for my breakfast to go down while flipping between the c25k & marathon forums to admire where people are in their journey & reassure myself I can get to my own goals.
It's so brilliant! We are so lucky! ☺️
Now, where's my buff, its parky out today...❄️

Thank you, glad to see from your recent posts that you're recovering. Not too much longer on the IC perhaps. And thanks, too, for your posts on slow running. I've found them interesting & helpful.
I agree 100% Runnf. HU is everything as far as running is concerned. When I say I’m going to do something on here, it’s as good as done. I can’t possibly let my VRBs down.
You’re right, we’re very lucky to have it. A sport I used to do had a famous forum and I barely ever participated in it - some quite nasty stuff was said and it was uber competitive. So different to HU. ❤️
You’re so right Runnf - I can’t run at the moment but reading everyone’s posts is keeping me motivated. When the time comes, I’ll be posting about my ‘come back’ journey (I hope!) which will hopefully motivate someone else! Thank you HU!
Absolutely agree. This is a wonderful place of positivity and passion. Everyone is just so lovely, I’ve had the pleasure to meet some of the wonderful people here when I did a parkrun in Bristol 2 years ago. This is a very special place.
I tried running a few times in the 90s & 00s & didn't keep it up, or have any clue what I was doing or how to improve. It's been so different this time around, god bless the internet 😆
