Set off a bit later this morning as I decided to have a cup of tea before I went out. Didn’t go out with any specific ambition in mind, but thought I would try to go a bit slower this morning and have a relaxed run. Felt good to be out as it was quite a nice morning, but a bit windy.
Soon found that 5k had come and gone, so carried on to 7.5k at which point I thought I might as well go for 10k as I still had some way to go home anyhow. All good until about 9k when I felt a bit tired, did think of stopping as I was actually passing my front door at that point. However I knew if I stopped then I would kick myself an hour later for not doing the 10k. Had to dig a little deeper for that last km, but to be honest it wasn’t that bad in the end. As for slowing down, not sure that really worked as I was only 3 mins slower than my last 10k a few weeks ago.

Yes. I always find Saturday morning runs a bit easier as I am not under any pressure to get home and get to my work desk.
Sounds like a good run and well done for biting through that last kilometer. Even though you had no specific goal in mind, you would indeed felt 'bad' for nothing having done that kilometer. But you did it!!
