Rainy morning thoughts

Lying in bed listening to the rain the idea of joining the local gym to use their treadmill seems like a good idea but...

It's nearly a 1km walk, so on a rainy day that's 2lm round trip. I don't like driving short distances so maybe I'd be better off just running outside 😂

Haha , sounds like you have already answered yourself 😁I don't particularly like running in the rain and usually try and avoid it .

However, when I go out and it's dry and it starts raining while I'm out then I actually quite enjoy it 😁

If the gym was further I wouldn't have the same qualms about driving, the distance is the opposite of the Goldilocks zone 😂

It's 8 miles from me and I'm seriously thinking of joining this winter, can swim there too but don't want to get tied in for a year. Think it's about 25/month for 'seniors'!

If it was 8 miles I'd feel the drive was justified as io could fit in other tasks too, but this one is so much closer. On the other hand, if I drove a bit further there's a gym with a pool...

Have you run on a treadmill before? I have a (simple) treadmill at home and I almost never use it. It feels much harder than running outdoors 😔

I had a phase of going to the gym about 20 years ago, I wasn't too keen on the treadmill, boring, but I loved going on the cross trainer (and watching Jeremy Kyle 😳) 😂
