Well I'm back, not quite in the USSR but in Russia. It's colder (only a couple of degrees) and damper than back home and seems to get light a lot later on (and darker earlier).
Went for a run on Friday, a nice easy slow 5k. By 1k I was warm enough to take off my jumper. Midway through it started to drizzle so kept under the trees so wasn't too damp. Finished the 5k by the stadium so husband said we ought to run a circuit. I sped right up to the dizzying heights of 6'02" minutes per km, my 5k pace is over 8 minutes. Very invigorating!
Haven't run today, I've got a bit of a runny nose and am taking it easy. I've had a couple of walks though and apparently my VO2 is in the blue and that nice Mr Garmin has knocked 17 years off my age

Nice run for you today Oldbadknees, you may be in Russia with the temperature around freezing but its not the - 30C as in Yakutsk, north east Russia, there 18 people ran a parkrun in those low temperatures yesterday, Mr Garmin was very kind to you knocking 17 years off you.
You’ve done a fair bit of travelling recently haven’t you OBK? ! Hope you’re feeling a bit better soon and enjoying your Russian runs again! If my Garmin knocked 17 years off my age, I’d ask it to marry me!
