Cold, rainy run

Not as rainy as the last run, but quite a bit colder - around 9 or 10 degrees. I even broke out my running gloves, which are just an old pair of regular polyester gloves with the fingertips cut off so I can work the phone :). Long insulated trackpants and top and I was good to go. The rain was more misty than actual rain which was nice.

Made a point of doing a shorter run too. Yes the program says to do another 10k today, but as I've already done two 10s this week, I didn't want to push my luck. So instead I did the 5k program, and just ran a little longer as I felt good - 2 songs or so, after that. Wound up as 6.41k in 39 min. 10k for the next run on Friday to wrap this thing up.

Also thank you to the folks that mentioned the shoe-drying trick using crumpled newspaper. Had to do it twice on Monday to get them fully dry for today but that really worked!

I'm still in capris and vests 😃 mind you I run hot since becoming a runner. Saves a fortune on heating bills

Haha, I've always felt the cold more than the heat. My wife is the opposite. We are always adjusting the thermostat😀

well done, and that sounds sensible in order to keep the legs fresh for Friday.... blimey how cold was it? I only wear gloves when it goes minus freezing!!

The legs feel good today so I think I made the right call.

My hands are the only part of me that ever really gets cold. It was probably 7-9 degrees, balmy by some standards, I know!😀.

Yep, me too. It hate wearing gloves and they have to come off once I warm up. Good idea to start with though

I dont mind gloves, as long as I can use my fingers to work the phone. The cutoff fingers on my old gloves keep them from overheating too I suppose.
