Woke up at 8.00 so too late for Parkrun. The sun was shining so on with the shorts, maybe their last outing this year, maybe I should've shaved my legs, oh well I'll be going too fast for anyone to see.
Chose NRC's 7km run as I want to see how far I can go. Started really slowly, nearly 11mins/km but speed up as I got into it. Followed a couple of new paths to see where they went then realised I was past the halfway point so should turn round.
Coach Bennett threw in some 'races' on the 4th or 5th km, so that speeded me up. Then, on the 6th km he said to run as fast as I could. Garmin said I was doing 5.30 mins/km, FLYING even if only for 100 metres.
When I finished the 7km there was a 1.5km walk home. I was tempted to run but decided that enough was enough.
So, my longest run yet, over an hour and all before breakfast.
It was warm and sunny so afterwards we decided to camp out on our boat, she's going to be lifted out for the winter on Monday so our last opportunity. It's been a really good day 😁
