Sunny and muddy evening run

I started this run with Coach Bennett’s 25 minute “I don’t want to run run” playing, as I really needed a push (confession - it’s been 11 days since my last run 😱. Think I’m missing my running buddy - who’s doing v well running wise btw ).

Well CB was giving me the perfect pep talk, I was running through the trees, jumping the puddles, navigating the mud like a pro and even enjoying the music when I suddenly realised at 25 minutes that I hadn’t heard from him for a while. The music kept playing but CB had gone AWOL. I think it was a deliberate ploy of his, as it took me a while to notice he’d gone, so he clearly recognised I was happily running under my own steam and perhaps capable of more than that 25 minute run today….

Well he was right. In the end I ran for 32 minutes and did 4.3k, which makes me feel encouraged that reclaiming my 5k is just around the corner.

So CB is forgiven. Somethings are just meant to be 😊🏃‍♀️

That was a good 32 minutes run for you today Delly dot, you can run without the help of Coach Bennett, glad to know that Dabby dot is still running during breaks away from home at university. 😊 🏃🏾

Thank you so much Al. Dabby-dot is doing brilliantly with her consolidation runs, though like me she’s struggled to fit another in this week. However she says I’ve given her a long distance nudge with my run today. 😊

Trust Coach Bennett and you won't go far wrong 😂😂😂 (even if he's popped out for a while) 🙃

😆 He’s forgiven! I’m telling myself he had an ulterior motive and it was planned all along. 😉

Well with that beautiful scenery of sun dappled woods, I can imaging he was lost for words! Beautiful running! Reclaim that 5k!

Thank you CBDB. It’s within reach. I’m also working on reclaiming my yoga practice too. I did Adriene’s creative yoga from her weekly letter this morning and I’m planning on her first October yoga before bed. Happy running 🏃‍♀️ and yogaing 🧘🏼‍♀️ to you 🤗

Yeah, I think this month of YWA will be mindful and many days seem to have two short practices with one being a meditation. So have mindful fun!

Wow that's amazing! That's a cracking pace!!!! I have to confess I found Coach Bennett a bit annoying. I had one session with Cory - who I loved- but haven't found any other runs by him. Go you - 5k just round tbe corner!!!

in reply toFionamags

I really like Coach Cory - I started with him on NRC and he is still my favourite. There are more runs on the app coached by him, so do have a look. 🤗

How do you find him? It all seems to be CB.... Any tips? I've only found one CC run.

in reply toFionamags

I found some just by looking, then I searched the internet to see if there was a list and found this one: First Run, Next Run, First Speed Run, The Roller Coaster, Rhythm and Roll, 90’s, One Hard. One Easy, The Shifter and Find Your PaceThere must be others, so hoping I'll come across them eventually. 😊

Great run. CB is a belter as my dad would say. He seems to know when you don’t need him any more 🤣🤣🤣. Sounds like a lovely place to run jumping puddles etc and as you say sometimes runs just happen. Well done 👏

Lovely to hear Dabby-dot is keeping up her running and that it's still going well. Is she loving uni life too? Understandable that your running mojo has been a little harder to find though since losing your running buddy, but glad you've found it again. That sounds like a wonderful, restorative run, well done 👏🥳🎊💥😊

Well run! Have you tried CB's- Just a run run- I found it really useful when in that too tired/stressed to bother to run mood.Glad Dabby-dot is going well-before you know it your running buddy will be back for Christmas so best keep on training!

in reply toWeek7

Thank you. I’ll look up the run you mentioned. Yes, I’ll have to keep going for Christmas! 😃
