Hi did a 9.69 walk this morning in 1 hour 37 minutes. My first 5km was 47 min.32. Got my 5 km badge July and 300000 steps July . Cold at first only 9degrees but went in T-shirt and shorts, thought I would warm up because mostly 2/3 of walk gradient. My walk consisted of pavement at first and then onto side road up hill where I took some pictures. Back by the river and saw some other friendly walkers think getting morning papers. Back home and passed bya lovely I think national trust garden full in bloom . Still not running and wish I could but walking for me. Was lovely and sunny here but now cloudy . Have a good Sunday 😎

Early morning walk and 5km walk
What really beautiful photos, a good long walk for you too
More lovely photos from you Doris8, The Scottish Borders area I think, congratulations on that walk and of course your 300,000 steps in July. 😊
That 9" sounds a fabulous temperature, hope you warmed up, it's such a bore carrying surplus clothes after 5".
Do you get wild swimmers there?
It would be hard for me not to throw myself in that beautiful water at the end of a run.
Nice pictures! I fully understand your wish to be running. I did not run for almost a week now, due to my knees feeling a bit achy. I am honestly wondering at the moment what would be most healthy for me: running 30 minutes or walking 30 minutes (or more). In any case, you are on the move and that's what counts!
Thank you, sorry to hear your knees are giving u bother. Walking is low impact , bu.t to benefit brisk pace for 30 mins to raise your heart rate. You could try and see how your knees are after one day a week run the rest walk. Will your skipping not affect your knees with the jumping ?.. or just walk slow to start with with your knees been sore.
The skipping has been stopped, at least for now. Might be a cause of the 'tired' knees or might not. In any case it won't help with healthy knees I fear. So that is stopped for now...
