Saturday morning run-walk joggle

Another lovely exploration of a new route this morning with hubby and I walk-running (he walks fast as I run slow). In its full length it might just get to ca 10k.

It follows first a field lane, than a track alongside various fields, trailing over a stile, then a dirt track passing two farms, leading to a lane that will eventually pass under a motorway and to a country lane.

Just one stile at ca 3k. Some patches will be inaccessible in winter, and a muddy patch which defeated us ca 2 month ago was now completely dry.

We turned around just before getting to the motorway as 7.5k was enough for today, saving up for a 10k for next week. My time was again nothing to brag about, but my excuse was the 3 stiles we encountered (before finding the un-stiled route) and checking my map a handful of times.

I also had tried a heel lock for my laces, which worked great on this uneven ground.

A nice, slow, long-ish run, overall.

Happy running everyone!

Thank you. Photos are a bit fuzzy, as I take them through the V1 Freetrain running vest, which has plastic window. It works ok. 👌🏼 👍🏽🙏

Yes. Certainly not a winter route (mud fest) but late spring to summer should be fine.

How is your knee progressing?

Really well thanks. The massage/physio lady told me I could afford to push harder with some stuff and take it easier on others - easier on the same ones my NHS physio says I don’t have to push myself on - so it was a very good visit and well worth the £45 for the hour.

Hope to restart C25K at the beginning of next month all being well

Ohh wow! You must be jumping at the bits! I imagine it will be so good to hear that first C25k voice in your ears again! ( But stick with us on S&F, please 😘)

👏👏👍🏽🙏

I will not be giving up on my Strength and Flex 😁

Nice pics, looks like a gorgeous new route. And again with the hubby, always nice not to be alone, eh?

😃 Yeah! It is brilliant! It wasn’t always the case that hubby and I could do things together as our fitness levels and interests differed, but this running lark has given us quite a few activities we now do together! So we’re enjoying it immensely!
