Early morning mind clearing!

I haven’t slept very well this weekend with various things going on at home. I woke at 4am this morning and by 5:30 gave up trying to sleep and thought I’d get up and do the 7km slightly more hilly route that I’ve been putting off - I’ve been wanting to start to rebuild my distances as I’m doing 5 or 6 km all the time.

I headed off at a slower pace than normal and managed the first hill that I’d been a bit wary of, then there was quite a bit of downhill and then the hard slog back up, but I did it!

I was so pleased that I’d done a 7km and that I’d pushed myself to do the route I’d been putting off. It was also lovely to be out early and it was also the first time I’ve really run to help me mentally and it was sooooo good.

Congratulations that was totally a win win run just for you. You now know that hill is yours to run whenever you want no matter what is going on in your life. Happy running 🤗

That's absolutely brilliant, nothing like an early morning run to clear your head. Conquering that hill is a fantastic achievement, very well done! 😃👏👏👏💪

Best time of day, in my view, especially in this heat. And make hills your friend 🤗 Well done, Cl.
