I'm currently having a 9-5 for the first time ever... and I appreciate everyone who does early morning runs even more! I was out the door at 7am, as to have enough time to make it into work. It was actually so nice to get out though so early - the sun was trying to come through, and the roads were so, so quiet. I ran along some coastal paths which was also so pretty in the morning mistiness.
I'm still getting pain in the beginning of a run, but my physio says its okay as long as I don't go too fast or run up big hills (I'm not complaining at that one :)) The pain did disappear gradually, and by midway all was fine.
This week I've upped my running time per run to 27/28 minutes (last week was 25) - my runs are definitely feeling longer as compared to a couple of weeks ago! Distance wise today I also made it to 5k which I'm so proud to be back at again. It definitely feels like big progress since a month ago.

Yes these last 2 weeks I have definitely seen major progress! I think for me its also so important to celebrate all the little milestones (and makes it a lot more fun )
How on earth do you manage 5k in 27-28 minutes when you're in pain? That's the sort of time I'd be really happy with when fully fit and running well! Glad to hear you're recovering, anyway.
Ah luckily the pain at this stage is really mild! In all honestly though, in these weeks I've been making sure to just run and leave the stats for afterwards
Great run there! And getting out early feels SO good once you’re out there, and, of course, once it’s done 😆. It’s lovely and quiet and your route sounds really nice. 👍👍👍
