Does anyone have any advice on choosing a tracker/fitness watch? I have a FitBit Charge 2 which has been great but means I have to carry my phone, but as I step up my running I want something with a few more features. I am looking for HR, GPS and the ability to set up intervals, also possibly - dependent on price!! - route plotting. One of my friends has suggested Garmin Vero but its pricey and I’m not I am not bothered about having music capabilities. There are so many out there it’s really bewildering! Any guidance appreciated. Thanks all!

Garmin 35 or 45 are both very good.

I always carry a phone for emergencies but with a decent watch I can leave the phone in a pocket and not worry about it.

I've had the Garmin forerunner 35 for about a year now and I love it. It has gps gives you heart rate , pace and lots more and you download the Garmin connect app on your phone and gives you all the info including a map of your run. I still take my phone though for music but you can leave the phone at home if you wish. 😊

I have a garmin 35 which I love love love. Comes in about £100. Accurate, loads of stats, wear it 24/7 I use it to record running, walking and cycling and even with that one charge will last a week - charging is really quick. Happy running 🤗

Forerunner 35 does all but routes and is £100. The newer 45 opens up the much easier setting up of a workout on your phone, and Garmin Coach and is £150. The 245 adds some more advanced running analysis and is £230 or £280 depending on whether you want the music version. All 3 are very good watches and will do all you want.

I haven't yet but I'm going to go for the Vivoactive 4S. I want to be able to play music without my phone. If not I think the 45 would also be great. Am watching on Amazon as they seem to be selling all the Garmins on offer one at a time!

I’ve seen that, they’ve got some discounted now including huge offer on 735XT. I’m undecided - so much choice!

Yes the 735XT looks excellent and last week they had the Venu on Limited Discount for around 200 which is a massive discount. Im keeping fingers crossed for others ;)
