COGH Final 5k

I did the final 5K of the COGH run, using the RunGo app. It was great - kept bringing a smile to my face as I plodded round. Below is a photo of me just after finishing. I have so enjoyed doing this relay, both walking and running. Thanks to the organisers. So much effort and clearly appreciated by everyone. Today was my not-Parkrun as well. I’m looking forward to the restart, but I’ll probably be volunteering for the first one, as we could be inundated with runners. And finally, a thank you to everyone on here who contacted me when I put up my heart rate worries. You were all so helpful. A combination of you and a visit to the cardiologist has made me feel so much better.

Great effort today and throughout the COGH challenge. So glad to hear you’re calmer about your heart rate worries. Happy running 🤗

An absolute hoot! Which isn’t something you say very often!

Well done! 👍

I also did 5km yesterday and added it to my COGH total. I'm slightly miffed that my muscle troubles over the last month (now recovered from) robbed me of the ability to contribute more to the total.

Sorry, I should have posted a reply to you, but replied to me instead! Well done, you. Every bit has helped. And I’m glad the muscle troubles are over. Fingers crossed that don’t return.

Thanks. And well done, you. Every contribution has been important. I’m glad that the muscle troubles have eased. Long may that continue.

All these runners contributing their final run! I think we must have overshot our mark and be half way to South America by now! Love it!

Glad you’re feeling better, it’s been fantastic being part of this relay, I’m hoping Parkrun might fill the gap for me, haven’t run one yet so I’ll be very excited to do the opening run but I’m definitely up for joining the volunteers too. 😁

Thanks for your message. I think you’ll love Parkrun. I’ve volunteered close on 100 times, but never ran. I only started running early in lockdown 1. It will be good to actually run it, but as I said in my original post, I may give it a few weeks before I do so.

That’s a fantastic volunteering record, enjoy your maiden run when the time comes 😁
