Finally, we are back on the road. A 350 mile journey yesterday with a quick coffee stop at mum and dadโ€™s in Penrith on the way past and we arrived at Loch Lomond for the first 2 nights of our Scottish North Coast tour. Naturally I had to pack running kit and, knowing the West Highland Way passes through the site, that was the plan for (not) Parkrun #46. Google maps said it was fairly flat. Hah! 101m of elevation gain and steps so a relatively steady 35.51, but the scenery is gorgeous and the sun has made an appearance. Oh, and I couldnโ€™t resist a little song ๐Ÿ˜‚ Happy running VRBs

Thanks Al. I last visited Loch Lomond in 1983 so we were long overdue for a visit and it is as beautiful as I remember. Inverness tomorrow!

High Road and Low Road in one! Coffee with mum and dad sounds very much like normal life. Hope the weather and midges behave. ๐Ÿ‘

Not seen the parents since October so it was good to get a quick break. We didnโ€™t sit in the garden though - it was drizzling! But with 3 of the 4 jabbed twice, I donโ€™t think there was much risk. No noticeable midges so far ๐Ÿคž

If you use Bing Maps on a computer you can select the OS maps layer. That goes down to 1:25,000 scale.

Thatโ€™s handy to know, although to be honest it wouldnโ€™t have made much difference. Hills in all directions!

You would think around the edge of a Loch would be flatter though wouldnโ€™t you?

Welcome to Scotland! Hope you have a lovely time. The highlands really are stunning - but I'm afraid they don't call them "high-lands" for nothing ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ. ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ
