Finally, we are back on the road. A 350 mile journey yesterday with a quick coffee stop at mum and dad’s in Penrith on the way past and we arrived at Loch Lomond for the first 2 nights of our Scottish North Coast tour. Naturally I had to pack running kit and, knowing the West Highland Way passes through the site, that was the plan for (not) Parkrun #46. Google maps said it was fairly flat. Hah! 101m of elevation gain and steps so a relatively steady 35.51, but the scenery is gorgeous and the sun has made an appearance. Oh, and I couldn’t resist a little song 😂 Happy running VRBs

If you use Bing Maps on a computer you can select the OS maps layer. That goes down to 1:25,000 scale.

Welcome to Scotland! Hope you have a lovely time. The highlands really are stunning - but I'm afraid they don't call them "high-lands" for nothing 🤣🤣🤣. 💪🐐
