So the rain has stopped, the thaw has sort of started but the only surface you can realistically run on is the road.
Not ideal when you are constantly dodging all sorts of traffic headed towards you.
Still I managed 5k in an extremely slow, steady, stop and start kind of way and it felt good to actually get out.
Hopefully by Tuesday we will have no snow (though probably a lot of sogginess) and I can get out after work.
Run happy, run safe everyone.

After the crazy snowfall you guys were experiencing, I'm sure it felt great to get back out! Fingers crossed for better weather ahead!

This year we were plagued with really cold weather but seemed to always be just on the edge of the storms. We haven't got the snow like runswithdogs has gotten, but we're in another snowfall warning today so we shall see.

It's been unbelievably snowy this year. Reminds me of winter when I was a kid. Those spring runs are going to be GREAT

Well done Chris. Got to be extra careful when its thawing, lots of sketchy parches of black ice here and there

Good stuff for making the effort and getting out there...

Well done for getting out in it. I went for a walk today with the little guy in the buggy round the routes I normally run and decided I was glad I was walking. Car said 8c today though, crazy weather

Well done Chris, you were brave to be out in it!
I think our thaw here is a couple of hours ahead of you. This morning when I was out ....walking....it was quite icey.
But I am hoping for a run tomorrow now it’s beginning to clear .
Happy running Chris!

Thank you Floss, it was not very pleasant today, sofa and a warm cuppa would have been a nicer way to spend those 40 minutes!!!

I did that Chris the other day on my long run. You need total concentration 🙄 I thought I’d go snow blind too 😁

You may also like... make time go really slow. Set the speed to 8km/hr (slow)...I know, but I’ve never run for that...
like a good run too. But windy but rain stopped after first 5 minutes.
Happy Sunday running...
sense prevailed and I was indeed very slow.
My chosen route took me out to a local lake, which is...
beaten track (did anyone SEE my face at the end - now you know why) and apart from a very few...
at Week 4 I started to notice what feels like cramp in my calf for the first 3k of a run, however...
