Hi everyone, I was very fortunate to be invited to Southsea this morning to run the Parkrun route with Dexy5, UpTheStanley, Mr & Mrs Coddfish and OldGirlRuns.πββοΈπββοΈπββοΈπββοΈ
The route is along the esplanade and back, so for the first 2.5K we had the wind behind us then ran into the wind for the final 2.5K. UpTheStanley helpfully ran ahead at the halfway point to be a human bollard for us to run roundπ Itβs safe to say I was pleased to see the end of the pier then the finish π Dexy5 and I were cheered over the line by Mr Coddfish and UpTheStanleyπππ
Thanks to you all for making me so welcome and being great companyππ The breakfast was yummy tooπ so thanks for that Dexy5!

It was lovely to meet you David, hopefully youβll be able to join us again one day when we can eat inside and not get blown away in the wind! Hope the journey home was more straightforward than the one to get here!
Great to see another (not) parkrunner making up the 'rule of six' with the Southsea crew David! Sounds as though the wind was a bit friskier than my meet up with them recently!
Iβm so sorry David, I didnβt get notification that youβd posted; I might have to re-follow you!
It was great to meet you at last as a fellow 2018 c25k graduate. Itβs the first time weβve run as a group for a while. In my experience, other peopleβs parkruns always seem further than 5k. π€£. And donβt forget you had also walked all the way from Fratton Station. Iβm sorry we werenβt able to give you a lift back there with the COVID restrictions.
Here is the photo I took of you (not) parkrunning guys. We were very lucky with the weather as we had a lot of rain after you left.
What an honour David - that crew have turned not Park Run into an art form. Folk all over the UK are watching those posts and slavering iver those post-run brekkies!!! πππ
