Congratulations Equi-geek and pal, it was great to see you both and you did so well. You only graduated 3 months ago and you’ve just done 10 miles!!!

I’m sorry it was so hot for you today - earlier in the week it looked to be better running weather with cloud and low temps.

I hope you raised lots for your charity.

You should be so very proud of yourself. I’m so proud of what you’ve achieved and of being part of this wonderful HealthUnlocked forum.

Thanks Sandraj! It was warm - phew! Never run that distance before and all the training really paid off in the last 4 miles, for sure! Our splits are really consistent.

Yes, I passed several runners lying at the side of the road being tended by St Johns ambulance - pacing was important today in that sun.β˜€οΈ

Never in doubt, Equi! You were obviously fresh as a daisy with 800m to go :-)

Great that Dexy was able to pick you out of the 20000 in time for us to holler a little bit of encouragement.

Apparently I at least will be following in your footsteps next year :-( , so I'm told …...

Equi-geek profile image

Hope you had a great run! Small personal victory as I notice they didn't have my camel, Humphrey, running for WaterAid yesterday - I'd hoped to be reunited with my boy :(

I watched the Channel 5 coverage yesterday evening and realised the portaloo set off in white wave, so we were way behind him - halfway down green wave. Some people obviously put in some rather...ahem... aspirational finish times to get themselves on the tele!!! Mind you, we didn't catch the pirate ship and he started just in front of us. Amazing to watch the elite runners on TV, having run that ourselves as well... they were incredible!

linda9389 profile image
linda9389Graduate10β€’ in reply toEqui-geek

I still havent watched it. That will be my after work treat today. I'm still trying to process my experience of yesterday and watching it might help. I don't want to post til I've got my head sorted out πŸ˜€
