Thanks to our lovely running friends Dexy5, Beachcomber66, Cheekychipmunks, Katnap, TailChaser and UpThe Stanley (and others) for inviting me to join a virtual replacement for today’s Vitality 10k in London😍
I’m staying at mum’s in Bognor so I was lucky to be able to run along the promenade this morning🏃♂️ Although this isn’t a race I wanted to push myself and finished in 0:59:21 so I’m very pleased with that!🏅😊 It’s a beautiful day too🌞😎
Take care everyone, stay safe🌈 and run happy!🏃♀️🏃♂️🏃♂️🏃♀️

Thanks Grannyhugs I love running along the promenade when it’s quiet. The weather was great too and certainly helped me get a good time!🌞 It’s going to be a hot day I think🥵 so happy to run really before it gets too busy on the seafront!🙂
Hi David_G I have just come back from running that "Virtual Vitality London 10,000" around a loch near to where I live in Scotland, it was a suggestion from Dexy5, I usually run a longer run on a Wednesday but brought it forward 48 hours, that run was my 6th 10K and I ran it in a time of 73.21 in the sunshine, a change from the wind and rain of the last couple of day.
Sounds like a great place AlMoor🙂👍 I run longer on Wednesday now too, as I don’t work Wednesday any more😊 It’s certainly a change in your weather since the last couple of days according to the forecast💨💦☔️
Great to be able to run and take part in the virtual Vitality 10K, wherever we are. I’m looking forward to the ‘real’ version when it happens!🤞🤞
Well done on your 10k David - that's a great time too! 😀💪👏👏 I bet it was lovely down by the sea this morning. You can rest up now and wait for your bling to arrive.
I have happy memories of running the Vitality 10,000 last year - the weather was lovely then too. 🙂
I ran the Vitality 10000 last year too, it was great fun🏃♂️ I think they had a sprinkler system at about 8km so you could cool down a bit? I might be confusing it with another run though, so I may be wrong!🤣
Well done on your brilliant run David and a great time getting under the elusive 1 hour. Isn’t last years T-shirt Great? We met up with mr & Mrs Coddfish After completing our challenge and they were wearing theirs too.
I couldn’t get over how many people were down on the beach, and paddle boarding, cycling, running and walking At 8.30. But the flat calm sea and no wind will make it busy all day after those strong winds.
Enjoy the rest of the day and Thanks for joining Us in our virtual run.
Thanks Dexy5 I enjoyed the run🙂 I went out early so I avoided everyone else coming to the seaside!😊 I’m just going to relax for the rest of today then back out running again tomorrow morning🏃♂️👍
Fantastic sub 60 David, and liking the shirt very much...one day I will have one just like it (I wonder what year it will say?!) 🤞🤞 Very glad you could join us!
Thanks TailChaser it was great to be out there🏃♂️ Thanks to you and our virtual running buddies for the invite😊 It was fun to run with you all, even virtually😃 Hopefully one day we’ll get to do it again in person!🙂🤞🍀
Thanks UpTheStanley it's always good to sneak under a barrier! Yes, running along the prom was a bit of a slalom, even at 7:00 am on a bank holiday. I was home by 8:00 am so I wouldn't know what it was like after that, but I suspect it would have been busy and almost impossible to do any meaningful social distancing!
