3K with Headache 😐

So luckily today was my short run day !

My last 2 runs had been a 10K then a 5K so today I planned to do 3 or 3.5K

Perhaps as well as I wasen't really feeling it this morning, but with the weather forecast for tomorrow then I thought I'd better get a run in today .

I took a couple of decongestants about 1 hour before my run .

It's a shame I wasen't 100 % as the weather today was just right ! Ahh well it was at least a run .

Thankfully my head started to clear as I was around 2.5K and now I feel quite a bit better .

It's not a seasonal thing , I have sinus problems all year round and have done all my adult life .

I had planned on doing the NRC Fartkek run but then decided probably best not to push it today

So 3K done , no problems other than the headache, infact I was happy with my pace ,

One thing I have certainly learnt in the almost 12 months of running is listen to your body!

So , water drank , stretches done and a big mug of tea made .

No plans for the rest of the day other then watching F1 this afternoon , oh and I might wash the car as I have a pupil taking his driving test on Tuesday .

The aircraft picture is one I found from some time ago , I used to be on the flight test crew at British aerospace Woodford .

The picture is a Nimrod MR2, I flew on this aircraft XV254 Testing the AQS 901 Sonics system 😁

Happy running 😁

3k is 3k I57 - especially when you start out feeling a bit meh! Love the pic- my late Dad flew the Nimrod’s illustrious predecessor, the Shackleton , for a gazillion years!

I'm a fellow sinus sufferer, and continue to be one even after surgery in 2007.

Paracetamol sometimes eases things on its own, leading to "drainage". (TMI?)

For difficult ones, I usually find a Lemsip dries things up enough for comfort.

Yes, I actually turned down surgery many years ago !Talking of TMI, I actually have a sinus irrigation system that I use when really bad 😁

Ditto! I saw a specialist nurse a couple of years ago. Little sachets you need to dissolve in warm boiled water and use a special squeezy bottle to gently squirt into each nostril.

This is a pumped system ,

*TMI ALERT*Its a strange sensation pumping up one nostril and feeling your head fill up then draining down the other side 🀣🀣🀣

I’m glad you made it out and that you’re feeling a bit more chipper now. I did about the same distance the other day, just wasn’t feeling it, but was so glad I got out there. That’s a very cool job you used to have! πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸΌπŸƒβ€β™‚οΈπŸ˜Š

Glad you managed to get out for your 3k - despite that horrid headache.

Nice photo. You are a man with a really interesting history.
