Well that was interesting ! π
This was my first run in a month !
I have had a bit of a difficult time lately but won't bore you all with the details but it's taken me untill now to feel I could run again .
Thanks for the encouragement, I've appreciated it !
So I went out this morning with no expectations, I just wanted to run .
Not in the slightest interested in pace but needed to know I could still run .
Although I wasen't bothered about how far I went , I still chose a distance run , I decided to do the NRC 3K run .
I thought this would be just nice to ease me back in , and it was !
It was a 3k loop that didn't take me too far from home so if I had to bail out it wouldn't be too much of a problem.
When I woke up this morning I felt unsure about my run , but once out of bed and tea made I felt fine , and the Gremlins had disappeared !
Dynamics done and I remembered to synch my Garmin with connect before I went out as it had been a month since I last ran , thanks for that tip nowster !
I left the house at 06:50 and the temperature was already 14 degrees but it felt just right in shorts and running vest !
Mr Garmin locked on straight away on my warm up walk .
As I started to run I felt good , good to be out running again and straight away I started to enjoy it !
I don't usually run this loop so was a bit uncertain where the splits would start and finish but started off at what felt like a comfortable trot .
The first K done and feeling fine , starting to warm up a bit now though .
I didn't look at my splits while running but the 2nd Km also felt good so I knew 3K would be fine .
Onto the last Km and felt like picking it up a bit so increased the pace .
Coach Corey tells me 3K done but I carry on slightly further until Mr Garmin agrees !
Back home , stretches done and a quick look at Strava and connect .
Surprised to see my splits came out at 7:41, 7:41 and 7:11
That's a pleasent suprise !
And it's good to be back !
Thought I'd include a picture of Misty the cat in my photos ππΊ
Right ! Porridge on !!
