Yesterday I completed my first run of week seven and it felt absolutely fantastic. The normal early morning alarms went off at 4:50 and 5:00, it actually took me till 5:30 to crawl out of bed!! I had only managed to sleep for a few hours that night but week 7 was calling and I reminded myself that I am a warrior πͺπͺπͺπͺπͺπͺπͺand on a mission to complete week 7, this weekππππππ.
π¦πβοΈπ¦πβοΈπ¦πβοΈπ¦πβοΈπ¦πβοΈπ¦. I headed up to Clapham Common lots of runners about this morning and because it was light was able to run on the Common. I knew I was limited for time so wasnβt going to be able to run up to Wandsworth Common this morning but wanted to see the πΎ tennis πΎ courts πΎ so headed over to Clapham South.
I felt really strong on this run and I felt I ran at a steady pace. I felt so much joy, I still truly canβt quiet believe that I am able to run for 25 minutes again, I literally feel like the luckiest girl in the world at the moment (blessed to have the running bug) π¦ππ¦ππ¦ It feels so special and magical. π¦ππ¦ππ¦π¦ππ¦
When I started my run I spotted a beautiful baby Christmas tree had been planted on the Common and during my run I kept thinking that I wanted to take a picture of it. So I ended my run near the tree π² ππππππand got my photograph. I have decided this is going to be my special baby tree (I love treesπ³π³π³) and I am so looking forward to witness this little baby grow and develop into something so wonderful π₯°β€οΈππ§Έπ₯°β€οΈππ§Έπ₯°β€οΈππ§Έπ₯°β€οΈππ§Έ
Wishing you all a wonderful day filled with all the joy running brings.
And you continue to run in the early mornings, itβs a lovely day for it too, π I love that trees are being planted in parks a lot it seems lately xx

Have a wonderful day off, Iβm off tomorrow, Sunday is an extra, I will be glad when our unwell staff come back as my work is stacking up, but thereβs that sense of everyone chipping in to help out, we had our first staff meeting yesterday for months as they were stopped last year and we only managed a couple in summer,
Another good one! And another early start-always makes me feel a little guilty as I sit in bed drinking my coffee reading about your runs.I am starting to think I should try pre work run myself while I'm still working from home.
Keep running and keep posting .Loving your uplifting happy posts!
Aww many thanks Ian, I canβt believe how quickly the weeks have gone. Lol yes my little baby tree, will make me smile seeing it, even now I am smiling, he he!!
Thank you, I canβt wait to complete week 7. I hope you enjoy your next run.
Congratulations to you Rebecca on completing run 1 of week 7 so early in the morning, of course, you ARE a warrior and on a mission.
I am glad you enjoyed your run, that little "Christmas Tree" proper name a 'Spruce Tree' will be your tree to watch during the coming years, they are slow growers so don't expect it to be high any time soon.
As for me, yesterday I ran 7K in a time of 51.55, my longest run this year, I am increasing my mid-week run by 1 kilometre a week until I run 10K in preparation for the London Vitality Virtual 10,000 which I have signed up for later in May and early June, I have set Wednesday, June 2nd the day I will run that virtual 10,000, during May I will run several 10K runs for a bit of practice.
Thank you so much Al. Aw thank you for confirming correct name of my baby tree. Lol I am actually thinking of a name for him!!
That is absolutely fantastic, well done. Oh how wonderful that you are running the London Vitality Virtual 10K. I would have loved to have been able to run that but wonβt be able to run 10k by then, on my to do list for next year!!
Thatβs a great run, Rebecca - itβs amazing to read about your strength returning. Well done, you really are a warrior! πππππͺπͺπͺπͺπ₯°π
So pleased that the early morning running is working so well for you! I love that time of day for running, although not as early as you right now!
Aww thank you so much Julia, canβt let this beat me. Got great news this morning, got a negative Covid test that was the first test after having the virus so looks like all traces have gone now. Such a relief.
