7 mile run yesterday

What a gorgeous day it was. I donned my bright pink nike trainers and off I went. The birds were singing, the sun was shining and the air had that cool breeze in it that was touching my skin with a lovely cooling effect. I have invested in a very cheap ear Bluetooth device, it played my favourite tracks for running on Spotify and I could still hear my favourite sounds around me, before I knew it I had run 5miles, so I kept going as I felt great, think I could have run a half marathon but stopped at 7 miles. Euphoria set in, isn’t it such a great joy to be able to run, I feel blessed, I really do.

I wonder whether we share a birthday! Mine is next month too on the 18th, I shall be 62 (yikes!). It is wonderful that you feel like a teenager. Long may it continue! My memory is not brilliant, so I can't really remember what being a teenager feels like! Your running sounds so good. Do you have any particular targets in mind for your running?

Mine is the 30th, but October is a great month to be born in. I’ve just booked a Sunday lunch on 28th for my family, 12 of us, I’m thankful to be healthy and very young in outlook. Happy birthday to you on 18th, 60 is the new 40.

Well agelesslass, that sounds like a walk In the park. What a difference the return of the sunshine has made to us all. There is no doubt it is far more pleasant than battling strong winds and rain. Let’s get out there and enjoy it while we can.

Thankyou Saartjie

I love runs like that, where you feel you could keep running forever. I haven't had one for a while. And you must be fuelled well or you would have been fatigued and felt you couldn't keep going.

Loving my life, it’s funny I always have to stop myself from putting a xx on the end of my replies, habit from my texting. He he.
