β°β°β°β°Alarm clock went off at 4:50am, nothing happened! Then at 5am......Thought about it, mmm little voice said itβs nice and warm in bed could stay here for another hour if you wanted, but this is week 6, Run 1 Becsπππ , so up I jumped from bed got dressed, shorts (yes I know!), long sleeved top and my trusted nurse blue running jacket. Located my keys........whatβs that.....Does my little baby bear cub key ring look like he doesnβt want to come out running this morning !!! π§Έπ§Έπ§Έπ§Έπ§Έπ§Έπ§Έπ§Έπ§Έπ§Έπ§Έπ§Έ
Was out the door for 5:18 am hood up, βletβs do thisβ! Headed up to Clapham Common, first C25K I was a Battersea girl and went to Battersea Park but funnily enough this time round I always head up to the common. Started of at a nice pace and just really enjoyed this run, it felt so comfortable and steady. Loving how quiet it is out on the pavements at this time and just being able to sing very badly and loudly, not caring, very liberating!! Lots of Take That songs this morning and fond memories of fun times at their last concert at the O2 in May 2019.
Right I need to go to work now!! I wish you all a lovely day filled with lots of miles of happiness and sparkle π¦π¦π¦π¦π¦π¦π¦π¦π¦π¦π¦π¦π¦π¦π¦

Well done on another early bird sunrise run Rebecca π, that's definitely energized me to get up and out as soon as the weetabix has fuelled the system and I'm able to steer my legs π€
I got all prepared to go out this morning at about 8.30am, then toilet anxiety kicked in and other general faffing about, and eventually I realised I hadn't enough time left to do the run I wanted to before I had to be available for work.
Hopefully the delivery of stuff from Decathlon this lunchtime will be early enough to let me do it without having the worry of being back in time for this afternoon's main meeting.
Do you not leave rest days in between your runs? Enjoy your run, lol I know it seems crazy but you feel so well for the rest of the day it is incredible
Yes, I agree about that amazing supercharged feeling continuing through the day.
My current plan has me running four days a week with three rest days. I have done a couple of "Run Every Day" weeks, of mostly shorter runs, and have loved doing them. I've my eyes on the half marathon distance in about four weeks from now, so no RED for a bit.
Yes it really is such a great feeling has really helped me with the fatigue.
Oh wow that is absolutely fantastic that you are planning a HM, you have made such good progress. Good luck with the rest of your training. The RED shorter runs sounds brilliant does that improve strength? I remember Hidden doing RED January that was so amazing and inspiring especially in all that awful weather.
I don't know whether running every day improves strength. I do know that my running fitness has been noticeably improving the last couple of months. I suspect that is more likely to be the combination of everything I've been doing recently rather than the two short bursts of RED.
Wonderfully joyful post!! Iβm terrible at early morning runs - I am jealous of everyone here who can be that organised. I like my doggie walk in the mornings then run in the evenings.
Have an amazing day Rebecca. You are leading the way for me today!!!
lol I think the fact of not being able to run during January and February has made it a lot easier to get out early now! I couldnβt manage to run after work, too tired. It is great that you do walking and running, great step count. Aww must be so lovely to have a πΆ πΆπΆ you are blessed. Take care and enjoy your evening run
So happy to know that you enjoyed that 'Take That' Gig at The O2 in 2019, not sure when big pop concerts will resume.
That was a very good run for you this early morning Rebecca, it's still quite dark at that time of day, with the clocks going forward two weeks ago your lose a hour of daylight in the early morning, I don't like the idea of you running in the dark, nevertheless you enjoyed the run, that is the main thing, well done π ππΎ.
Hi Al,Oh yes I couldnβt imagine feeling comfortable going to a concert for a very long time. Sad really. Me and some friends have tickets booked to go and see Pretty Woman, booked for 30th June not sure that will go ahead. Had tickets for Wimbledon last year as well typical!
I am fine thank you Al it is well lit on the street and lots of cars and buses on the road and to be honest I look pretty scary at 5am in the morning!!!
Thanks Rebecca, my next run will be my 43rd (not) parkrun, I have ran all but one of them, the walk one was a few weeks ago when I had that sore leg, it's OK now.
Thank you ask, that is good to know. We wonβt cancel the tickets will just keep rebooking them awful what this has done to the theatreland and the actors want to support them
I go, or least I used to go to concerts of students studying classical music, of course I have not been to any concerts for now over a year, but I hope they will resume sometime later this year.
That is great that you are going back to work, enjoy your time off the rest of this week.
Yes I feel OK there is lots of traffic, I stay the other side of the road which is well lit. I donβt run around the common at that time. lol anyway I look pretty scary at 5am in the morning!!
Yes I really am, I would not have the energy to run after work, they do give me energy to get through the shift.
I hope your run went well? Sorry catching up with posts.
Totally get that, you have been vaccinated so have some protection now and you can keep the windows open for ventilation. I am sure it will be good to get back into a routine.
Yes it is too dark I wouldnβt do that would be to scared and wouldnβt put myself in any danger. lol yes very scary!!
Glad you run went well. Just catching up on posts now.
Your getting so good at these very early runs, and 18 mins from alarm, to out the door, π³ that's dedication, your getting through these runs now comfortabley, so glad it's going so well. ππβΊ
Thank you so much Peter!!lol that is not bad actually is it! I have my running clothes all ready before I go to bed. That is so kind of you Peter, thank you. I hope you are keeping OK. Take care
Thank you so much Coach AKA Couchphoenix you have taught me well.
Lol! Well I hope you are keeping up with your stretches!
Thank you, I think two months of not being able to run is a big motivator plus that wonderful early morning running feeling that you get.

I hope you had a good shift? I had a good shift thank you, I also really enjoy my lunch break in the garden. This is my first week of working 4 earlys this week. Another weekend working!
It was ok thanks, weβve had someone off sick so been covering which means trying to do two jobs but sheβs back, Iβm not as keen as you getting up early and quite like late shifts but only when i can lay in the next day Iβm off tomorrow working all weekend and off Monday x
Oh and I wouldnβt know what a lunch break is, we work straight through π
Hi Sola,Gosh you are so busy with work. I am on a day off today!! On the same shift pattern as you working the weekend. The time just seems to be flying by. I hope you enjoy your day off. OMG Sola you really do work so hard. I used to not take my breaks but I make myself now and feel so much better for them. Have a lovely day, I am very slow to getting going this morning. π₯°π»π₯°π»
Aww that is so lovely Sola, so sweet how you run together you are two lovebirds so sweet π₯°π»β€οΈ. I hope you got your shopping done. lol well I have not far been off a complete stop today!! I have felt so tired so have been kind to myself and rested for once just did a bit of cleaning and cooked a lentil bolognaise and not forgetting my facial stuff, trying to look after the face following COVID!! that is it!! Have a lovely evening xxx
You still need that rest and relaxation time, I curled up and fell asleep this afternoon, we are on a bit of a diet, weβve never dieted before π but itβs going well and definitely eating less, we are a happy couple, the run this morning wasnβt going that great when a little yapping dog ran and jumped at me so i told the owner off a bit and I think she shouted back a bit but had loud music in my ears so not sure, iβd slowed to a walk when i realised the dog was making for me and after that i walked home and Willow drove home and made the tea so by the time i got home iβd walked my cross ness off, iβm working this weekend which i love because it means the boss isnβt there giving me so many extra jobs to do that i get behind with my work and i get to spend time with the people who live there Hope your weekend working goes smoothly xx
Iβve been discussing snack foods with my daughter and realised that 100 calories of cucumber is 3 whole ones, that made me laugh You havenβt been back at work all that king and it takes it out of you, Iβm glad you are well staffed, we are a bit on the edge of not enough staff quite often and i tend to step in and do different jobs but it means trying to be really organised in getting my work done
We were lucky to have found each other when we did and still feel lucky to be together xx
Wow that is a lot of cucumber π₯ lol π canβt imagine wanting to eat 3!!It makes such a difference. I had a really good shift today feel like I am really getting there, first shift four tomorrow.
Aww that is so lovely Sola must be so wonderful. Xxx
Not going to work at the moment so not that early for me I have been out at 0630. I know how you feel, when I wake up to go for a 0500 run my brain is telling me it wants stay in bed. I overpowered brain and I like the quiet time in the mornings and you do feel better for the rest of the day . Keep up the good work.
Thank you so much. It really is such a great start to the day. It has helped me so much with the fatigue so is such a good motivator. You go out really early to when working. Enjoy your next run
Much too early for me. I'm going to have to get used to 9am park runs in 2 months time! Sounds like your getting back on track again. Youll be hitting those 10K runs again soon.
