What a difference this morning from last week. Or even the weekend. I had worked out that I needed to get out today or else it would be Thursday before I got the chance again. Hip had been niggling over weekend so I hadnβt got out at all. Hailstorm yesterday gave the gremlins a win
So this morning after a pain free night I was up bright and early. The sun π was shining and there was very little wind. My aim was to run πββοΈ for about 20 minutes as I didnβt want to upset the hip too much. Off I set wow π³ what a lovely morning the birds were singing and the baby π lambs bleating. I ran the first k really slowly and then speeded up a bit. Decided against going down the hill which meant it was a return trip along the quiet village road. So glad to say I ran for about 25 minutes slowly so only did just about 3 k but it felt good π and my hip didnβt grumble at all. Yay so now itβs off to shop after coffee and shower to replenish the cupboards before the grandchildren descend Tuesday and Wednesday. It was definitely a wonderful morning πΆπΆπΆ happy running πββοΈ πββοΈπββοΈπββοΈ

What a great start to the day. Well done Scruff. Hope you stay pain free π
Yes am quite pleased about the hip. Yesterday it was really sore but I hadnβt been for run all week due to weather and having grandchildren so maybe it likes running better than not running π€£π€£π€£π€£
What a fabulous morning! It really sounds like one of those perfect runs, and yay for the hip not complaining πππ Just reading your post has made me feel a lot happier, thank you! βΊοΈ
I love your positive posts Scruff, glad to hear that you're still chasing those gremlins and, in the main, winning! I've still not been out running for weeks now so will start back at the beginning of couch to 5k as soon as I feel willing and able! Working full time (now back in) doesn't help matters as I've no longer got the time in the morning and too tired at night. However, I have two weeks off at Easter and hope to get back into it then. I can run at the weekend and in September I'm going part time so will have more time then. I do still go for walks, keep the legs moving! Well done, glad the hip is feeling OK. Happy running!
Re starting C25k is always a good idea. I must admit to a bit of jeffing when the need arises π€£π€£ but my philosophy is if it helps me get up or down the hills then Iβll take it π€£π€£π€£ hopefully once you go part time youβll be able to find time to get into a good routine which always helps with the motivation. Take care and just go at your pace πππ
Thanks for the good advice, I probably go at the same speed walking as I do when jogging so wouldnβt notice much difference!. Itβs completely flat round here so no little or large hills to run up or down. I do think that Iβm putting everything off until I reduce my hours at work. I will definitely go back to my running though as I do enjoy the challenge. Thanks Scruff55 π take care too ππββοΈπββοΈπββοΈ
