So today was 3.5K when I went out I had no idea how far I was going to run !
But with the weather forecast for the next few days looking bad I thought I would at least get one in !
I set off fine and the first km was a decent pace , I started to warm up after 1 km and soon realised I was going to be too warm .
I was wearing a long sleeve top and very light jacket just to keep the wind off and running tights (think that was a mistake)
I decided against wearing the sports bra I picked up on the first zombie run π€£π€£π€£
Anyway I was completing mission 1 which I started on my previous run , this was completed at around 1.5k .
I then decided to just do 3.5k today as I want to start mixing my runs up a bit again so hopefully my next one will be either 5k or more (undecided yet)
I noticed (as expected) that this shorter run improved my fitness age by 3 years and VO2Max went up by 1
It is still some way off what it was at its best but at least heading in the right direction again .
I'm still running positive splits but noticing that the pace is naturally picking up again .
As long as I don't start off way too fast then I'm happy to continue with either positive or negative splits as long as I can finish my run π

Amazed you didnβt try out the zombie bra π€£π€£π€£Is the VO2Max a good measure? I have it on Apple Health and it says Iβm 39.4 at the moment which is above average for my age which surprises me as I doubt think Iβm very fit at the moment π€£
It's been suggested I use the bra as ear warmers πI'm not sure how accurate the VO2Max is from a watch but it does seem to generally track my fitness.
It has always had me below my actual age but the last couple of months I have been leaving longer and longer gaps between runs and noticed VO2MAX suffered .
It's started to improve again now as I have built my run frequency up again .
Also it appears to like regular shorter runs ,π
Well done Ian! πππYou finished your mission. Any more sports bras? π€£
You managed to impress Mr Garmin today, He didn't like my 3.5k run at all and deducted one point from my Vo2max and added one to my fitness age! He is so fickle
