Starting Ju-Ju's 10k Plan

I graduated C25K during covid and went on to run a couple of 10ks. Since then I've developed some calf problems. I started C25K again in September and graduated again in March. I've been doing regular 5 ks since then with some breaks to sort out my legs. I'm doing strength training once a week. I ran the first of Ju-Ju's runs today (2 miles in 20 mins) and aim to be ready to run a 10K in September with my Son. He is 30, l'm 65.

I'm looking forward to the challenge.

I had lots of calf problems. Other than strength exercises I have found compression socks seem to help.Good luck with the 10k in Sept.

Sounds like a plan Steady_Stevve 😁 I ran my first 10k in May with my 35 year old daughter. I run my second one this Sunday 😁

good for you 😀👍

Just go steady. No need to overdo things. That way means we get to play out regularly

Good luck. Have fun out there 🙂

it sure is! Keeping things interesting with varying routes helps. Plus music or a podcast etc The warm weather helps too

Thanks, good advice. I just enjoy the exercise in the fresh air, sun, rain, wind, hail - just as long as thr dogs I pass are under control!
