Just a few miles required to complete my February Race at Your Pace Challenge, which I over ambitiously set for 50 miles but later reduced to 35. Only today left to complete these and submit my Race Evidence.
Perfect running weather out there today, energy levels feel much better this weekend, which I didnβt expect as last week was my first week back in work.
ASICS on ready for their maiden voyage and off I went, I chose NRC Morning Run With Headspace, which is a really nice one with the normal thought provoking questions and encouragement to relax your body, enjoy the run and take in your surroundings, which is what I did. π
I reached the town centre which was surprisingly quite busy, feeling good plenty left in the tank and actually found myself picking up the pace. Into the park which also seemed very popular with families and dog walkers. I stopped at my 5k bench and took a breather before heading home.
I resumed the workout when the run ended and completed an enjoyable 9k, leaving just a short walk to reach home. The new ASICS proved very comfortable and I was quite impressed with them, they didnβt feel so stiff as my Brooks.
Race evidence submitted to Race at Your Pace, which was actually 38 miles, and Iβve got a nice shiny medal to look forward to π π€
Before going out today I watched this You Tube motivational video, which definitely got me in the right mindset, give it a go if you need some encouragement to get you out thereπ
Looks a lovely place for a walk π. Yes he is a local Iβve seen him out and about when Iβve been driving to work π π
Mrs CP, was saying.... I must get an armband for my phone first......Iβve got a spare one I said.....oh she said......Iβll need some earphones.....Iβve got some new ones Iβve never used, you can have them.....oh she says π¬.......still waiting to see her leave the couch π
ππ Bless! My husband doesnβt like running, he loves Badminton! Itβs good to have different interests though. She might surprise you one day and suddenly be in her running kit before you πππ»ββοΈ.
I have no problem sleeping but will bear those in mind, after I posted that reply i went out like a light for half an hour while dinner was cooking lol
Well done Couchphoenix! Sounds as though you had a great run. Iβm interested to hear about your Asics as Iβm on the lookout for my next pair of trainers π. Happy running πββοΈπππΌπ.
It was nice out there today, I havenβt been out for a week so I thought I might struggle, but it was lovely to have some energy and a comfortable run / feet π¦Ά π
Yeah they are nice, this one will be my second, I quite like the challenge now and again, 50 miles was too ambitious with all Iβve had going on, but Iβll settle for 38 ππ πββοΈ
Sounds a nice comfortable run, glad it felt better today, hope works been ok, i'm not in tomorrow now, waiting for another phone call, maybe tue π€·ββοΈ ironicly, one of our schools start on day of mum's funeral 11th march. βΉ
Works been fine, but really tiring, thatβs why I was surprised to wake up Saturday morning and feel quite energetic. Glad to hear youβve got an extra day off. Mums funeral will be on your mind as was mine, but Iβm sure everything will go off ok for you.
Thanks π Yeah I really like them, nice and comfortable, it was nice out there today, busy though, lots of people in the park, I ended up running on the grass in the end otherwise Iβd have been dodging them every few yards. πββοΈ
Nice going CP! Those Race at Your Pace medals are nice.
Good to hear your energy levels are back up - by contrast my 5k run today was a bit of an effort. It's certainly been a lovely weekend for getting out there, apart from the fog this morning, which thankfully cleared.
I missed your new shoes post - so just went to check it out! Very nice ! Glad you like them
Amazing that you have manage to run 38 miles you are so motivated.
Found my last two shifts at work really tough regarding the fatigue. I am doing my walking and taking small steps back to running but experienced chest tightness again on Sunday hoping I will be able to run again at some point. Take care
