Well, very busy out today, lot's of runners, and walkers, and everyone seemed extra friendly today which was nice, must be the sunshine, makes people happier π was out with daughter today, a bit faster than wed come back run, have been back on my old c25k route, around harry potter studios, where it all started, 6 months ago. I'll say it quietly, but hip/groin pain felt a bit easier than wed's run, have decided to have at least 2 rest days between runs, and keep them short for now.
Anyway, with everything going on right now, felt so nice, to be out in the sunshine today, although, got quite warm, might have to re-think running times, come the summer π₯΅
Hope everyones having a good day, running, or the IC gang, maybe walking.

Well done for your 5K, Peter. Makes sense not to push too hard. Must have been a lovely run with your daughter out in the sunshine. My run was a little chilly at the start and my thumbs were cold.
With my hip/groin ache, I tried to avoid sitting. It seemed to help. Had to lie down on the sofa and watch TV. It was tough π
Sounds like a lovely 5k today for you Peter, especially running with your daughter. A double rest day sounds a sensible thing to do. The sunshine was lovely here too for my afternoon walk, but a bit chilly in the shade - especially in the breeze.
Nice 5k run for you π and some sunny miles in the bank, good for the soul (and easy on the hip/groin!) Just what you need right now I am sure. I had an early morning 5k walk with a friend, glorious out there in the sun - I tried not to glare at all the happy runners passing us in the park ππ
Well done-I like those 5k runs -my favourite, no pressure and you know itβs soon over! Was out around the park for 5k this morning too. Is good that your aches didnβt seem as bad- keep it short and slow and they might disappear
Thanks Bambi, fitness wise, these 5k's been pretty comfortable, just this niggly hip/groin, but like i said, felt slightly better today, so hope my 2 week break, plus taking things easy will help.
πͺExpeliamus hipgroin painius πͺ there you go Peter thatβs a Harry Potter spell for you to keep the pain away. Iβve been to the Harry Potter Studios, itβs a great day out.
Well done for getting out there and completing a gentle 5k In the sunshine, keep being kind to yourself ππββοΈ
Lovely run for you Peter. Its nice when folk smile at you when you run past, isn't it? I had mostly blank or grim yesterday - but then the sun wasn't out to cheer folk up. Trouble is that when the sun comes out, so do the hordes of people and then its a ducking and diving kind of situation.Hope your niggles stay in check!
Thanks Fiona, everyone just seemed friendly, even had some banter with some speed walking ladies, who were walking almost as fast as my running π€£ mind you, i learnt my lesson a while ago, to avoid canal/park, on such a nice sunny day, runners rage!π€£
Glad you got out in the nice weather Peter and spent some time with your daughter. Great news that your hip issue seems to be easier and that you're taking care not to overload it for the moment. Hope you continue to feel better in every sense and I will be cheering you on from the IC for the time being π¬ you can run for both of us ππ
Thanks Littleyellow, was good to be out π will definately take things slowly, sorry your still on the couch, hope it wont be too much longer π€ i might run again tomorrow, not sure about work yet.
I appear to have missed your post until now Peter44 . Itβs only just appeared in my timeline today.Glad you got out running again. Totally with you on the warmer weather. π₯΅
Thanks Indielass, yes, wont be doing mid day runs, come the summer π₯΅Hope your bearing up, with the injury stuff, it's so frustrating, i know, it's hard work resting!!! βΉ
Thanks Peter. I had a walk with my son in the pushchair this morning, as he needed a nap. Iβm not really thinking about my running at the moment with it being on hold. I miss it but just trying to get better and definitely not getting much rest!
At least your daughter should be back at school next week, i'm sure you'll be back eventualy, and stronger, for the break, although i've only done a couple of slow 5k's, do feel better for the rest, pain not gone completely, but not as bad. π€
