I woke this morning and just fell out of bed, into my running gear and grabbed my headphones and phone and out the door before I could talk myself out of it. And it wasn’t as bad as I’d expected.
When I first came downstairs my right ankle was protesting. It wanted to go back to bed I think... but I ignored it, and went anyway.
I was wearing my new earbuds ( courtesy of lovely daughter at Christmas) and a buff round my head so my ears and head were nice and toasty. Thin gloves on too and my little jacket and it didn’t seem too cold at all. I did my warmup walk and off I went, not too fast as my legs were still aching a bit from Fridays Pilates glutes session, I just thought I’d take it easy and just enjoy the morning. And I took a few snaps along the way. Saw a few other runners about, a couple of dog walkers, a lady playing with her toddlers down by the Mosaic nears Queen Anne’s buildings, and a couple of guys just boarding their boat alongside the River Taw.
I was only out for about 30 mins as I suddenly remembered that my shopping was being delivered at 10.20 and I wanted to be back, showered and dressed before that came. And when I got home I was really surprised to see that Garmin reckoned it was -1 when I was out. There was no wind though so I think that’s why it didn’t seem so cold.
