Hmm companion annoyed me but pushed me ha ha..

So after my lost mojo post , I ventured out with companion... to the park

Not sure if I liked it or not tbh ... he's a seasoned runner, ran all his life... whereas I started in June last year...

I got a tad cross when he was saying come on you've slowed right down , I was struggling to keep up quite frankly and battling with my own internal gremlins that were telling me to stop ....I know was meant as encouragement but it just made me swear oops...

But that said I was chuffed that when finished I had got a 5km PR .. under 30... so apologised for getting crossed and thanked for encouraging me.. albeit begrudgingly ha ha....

Next week going to concentrate on slower pace try to get further again ...

Or just go put one front in front of other and see where I end up.

Might drive to park again though as crunchy frozen grass is kinder than icy frozen pavements That's for sure !

😂 If he thought you were slow he’d have been waiting for me to begin running not realising I already had ! I’ve never gone out with a running companion, I’d imagine it’s ok if your at the same kind of stage /,ability .....but a seasoned runner 😬.......don’t think I’d fancy that tbh. Well done for keeping up though and getting such a good 5k time👍🏃‍♀️

Well done! Congrats on the PB - that's a cracking pace too - there's no way I could couldn't sustain that for 5k. So your run buddy brought something out of you! I've only ever run alone - not sure I'd like to go with someone who was that much quicker than me.

Fantastic run for you, well done persevering with your running buddy. I gave up running with my hubby long since, I always felt either under pressure to go faster than I wanted or guilty knowing he was going slow for me. Solo running rules🤣 happy running 🤗

I kept trying to coax him to run on and leave me too my own devices but he wouldn't ha ha must have secretly enjoyed the verbal abuse I was handing out ha ha ...😃
