It was a breezy 3 degrees when I set out this morning for my first run of the New Year. Having seen 2020 out with a third 3k after my return from a month on the IC, I was hoping to stretch it out to 4k this morning. I headed out onto my favourite tracks and trails, rather muddy in places so a bit of puddle jumping was required, but it felt good. I kept the pace slow and steady and just enjoyed being out in the fresh air. It was quiet with very few people about. We are in Tier 4 here, so there was a definite lack of the usual Monday rush about this morning and it felt more like a Sunday.
4k achieved, I headed home for stretches, a shower and breakfast. I am just about to head out again to walk my cockapoo Isla before the rain starts - she's alongside me on the sofa as I type, her head nudging my hands across the keyboards, so I best jump to it! Adriene's Breath yoga will round off my day, and no doubt Isla will join me in that too - she does THE best down dog pose 🥰🐶🐾.
Thankfully with Alfies long legs he doesn't really get very muddy. Yes he's doing fine, I thought I was getting used to having a greedy dog until I left an almond croissant on the table for seconds☹️ Thankfully the crash of the plate landing on the floor scared him so I managed to drive to rescue my treat and the plate was intact.Lesson learnt though 🐾
Busy day! Well done on building up your distance. I envy you being able to puddle jump!I'm on the IC again with a sore hip, but this time I'm not going to sulk but just keep tapping into the forum!
It's a great achievement to just get out there in these dark winter days with everything going on.
Oh no! Speedy recovery. Hopefully you are feeling okay to walk lovely Lyra? I’ve just finished Adriene’s yoga - so helpful after this evening’s latest announcements. Take care xx
I’ve just done Adriene’s yoga. Really lovely and it’s helped me unwind a little. Absolutely perfect after this evening’s latest announcements. Take care xx
