Running through Cornwall on LEJOG5 has inspired me to go in search of the sea. My husband and I headed towards the coast yesterday morning and we had a leisurely walk with our dog near the harbour, stopping for lunch and to watch the yachts coming out of the lock between the marina and the channel before they headed out to sea. The weather was beautiful, just as it was in Cornwall as my virtual self ran the outskirts of St. Ives to overnight at Roseworthy.
Once back home I headed out again, this time for a gentle 4k run in the late afternoon sunshine to start week 5 of the Magic Plan. On more familiar territory this time, I headed out to my local woodland and heathland commons near home.
I think I combined the best of both worlds yesterday, both virtual and real, seaside and countryside. Perfect π.
Happy running to everyone, enjoy clocking up those miles πββοΈ and allowing those runs to just unfold.
Such a lovely day. Gorgeous weather again today so heading out for a long walk with our dog this morning. Iβm really enjoying clocking up all these miles π
It was beautiful down at the marina watching the yachts and then walking along the channel - only problem is my husbandβs musing on boats now but my heart is more firmly sitting with a campervan/little motorhome..... π
Oh that sounds great DD. It was lovely here in the NE yesterday if not a bit windy but I've headed out this morning after lots of overnight rain. I've enjoyed running in the damp cooler atmosphere but still envy your weather. Have a great day and more miles for LEJOGπΆππΆππ
Itβs lovely to run in the rain but I have to admit Iβm hoping the sunny warm days hang around a while longer π. Enjoy your runs - where are you up to with your recovery?
Thank you OGR. I love being near the sea - we are about a half hour drive away. Yesterday was glorious, but I now have a husband who is dreaming of having a boat ....... ππ
Wonderful D-d, that sounds like a perfect Saturday to me. I really love my forests to run in but do wish I lived closer to the sea as I love being at the seaside too. You are doing great with your Magic Plan journey too, that 10k is so close now, brilliant π
Here's to many more happy runs and days like this π₯³πββοΈπͺπββοΈπ
Sounds like a wonderful day! I combined an early morning run with a later, long walk with my dog, my son and his girlfriend yesterday. It is so lovely to enjoy the late summer light. Let's make the best of it!
Getting better. Still taking it slow but dying to get back to the long runs again. I think I'll try a 5k next and if that's Ok I'll start working my way back up again.
Iβve mainly been dog walking but got a couple of good runs in now. Iβm taking advantage of the good weather in my neck of the woods while we have it! π
Love the way you describe this today! Virtually and in reality you are evolving and it's brilliant to read each post. Keep doing what you are doing and most importantly enjoying it π

Thank you GTFC, you are very kind and your support is much appreciated. π
A walk by the sea and a run in the woods... sounds divine π certainly made me smile. And well done with all the miles π
Lovely D-d, love the way you put all that together....Im thinking as long as I remember which world Iβm in, and donβt end up at the wrong one, π€£ I have enough trouble keeping up with myself as it is.... who am I? π€π€ΈββοΈπββοΈ
