So...I had a not so great truncated 6.4k run on Sunday as my hamstring was not happy and I had to keep stopping to stretch. Lots of foam rolling later (and some attention from my physio) and I was feeling fine.
44 undergraduate student final grades posted to the portal at 3pm. Off to the Post Office to ship all the stuff I sold over the weekend to pay for the alternator that failed in Mr. WW's ancient car.
Quick look at the sky. Can I? Will it get dark on me? OK. Park by the river. Quick stretch (not my usual 15 minutes) and a nice steady slow 5k on the river trail (all tarmac). Leg played nicely all the way. As I was headed back to the car the sky turned this glorious shade of red. Head and chest lamps started coming on. Who knew so many people run in the twilight?! Got back to the car as it got dark. All the red gone from the sky. The uglies in my head banished...headed home to find Mr. WW almost finished cooking our dinner.
I have apparently not been running enough lately. I have signed up for LEJOG9 - some will be walking, but I'm going to have to increase my total distance to have a chance of finishing it. I have slid back to running twice a week...
And now we sit and wait for a foot of snow tomorrow morning. Not sure when I will be able to run again. We shall see. I have never run in the winter...so this is all new to me!

Well done you WW! It sounds as if all the work and stretching you’ve been doing is having the desired affect! What a fabulous sky - I haven’t seen one like that for a long time!
Supposed to be shepherd's delight, but we are anticipating a foot of snow today! The color didn't last long. But it was so pretty...shame the picture has all the telephone and power poles! The trail is a paved path that runs alongside the railway line, which runs alongside the river. But it's quite industrial around it.
It has dumped on us and now is done. Ended up being about 10" of heavy wet snow. And it's formed a lovely layer of crusty ice on the bottom. The township has been through and ploughed and salted, so there's a clear track for cars to get down all the roads. But heaps of dirty snow on the sides. Walking the dog was interesting. I won't be running again until the roads are dry again!
