Just popping in to say hello!

I’ve just realised my last post was 6 months ago so I thought I’d better pop in and say ‘hello’. So pleased to see so many new names on the forum and good to see a few familiar names as well.

Nothing exciting to report I’m afraid only to say I’m still running 3 times a week following my own 10k plan. Together with Mr Wizzie our run today was 8k and as always was slow and steady! I don’t think I’ll ever get any faster but I know I’m stronger as I seem to be able to plod along at the same pace whether it’s a 4K or 10k route.

Thankfully I’ve avoided the dreaded Covid so far, and being able to get out for a run gives a sense of normality during these difficult times. I definitely think there’s a lot more runners about now than before lockdown last March so at least something good has come out of this horrid situation.

Well done everyone for keeping up with your running ... keep safe, keep well and keep running!

Well done to you too for keeping your running up. Yes I think when the dreaded covid is behind us there will be thousands of new people taking part in parkrun, charity events and various road races. Don’t be a stranger.

Good post from you Wizziewood, there were a record number of runner's graduating from C25K during the months of May and June, same with cycling, gyms, tennis courts, swimming venues and other sports were all off so running and cycling were the two sports that everyone came to, glad to know that you are enjoying your running.

Hmmm..I do believe that this IS actually exciting! Because, 'I’m still running 3 times a week following my own 10k plan' is just brilliant so a big well done to you both!
