Have never got so wet ☔️ - but loved it 🏃‍♀️😀

Looked out this morning and thought, ooh might get a run in before work and before the rain starts. Checked weather app and yep, loads of time so off I go 🏃‍♀️

Had a week off last week as not feeling great and really missed my runs (can’t quite believe it 👍). Took tentative steps on Thurs and Sat doing a couple of slow 3K to check breathing ok and today felt needed to get back to it (or am in danger of slipping back onto the couch).

Music on (Best of James 🎶 ) and Coach Bennett from NRC with me for ‘Today’s 5K’. Blimy my legs felt so heavy, thoughts started creeping in v early on that perhaps just another 3K today, perhaps I’m not 100% after all etc. Then the heavens opened!!!!! It was pouring down - perfect timing - starting to laugh, Coach Bennett tuning in with some well timed inspiring words, James telling me ‘She’s a Star’ and that was me back on track.

5K complete and absolutely wet through but with a big smile 😀.

These runs are the bread. Every now and then you get a great run (filling) but we need the bread each and every time.

Love your rainy run tale! Glad you ended up enjoying it! I know what you mean about missing running when you don't go....it seems unbelievable doesn't it! I never thought I'd get into it like this!!
