Feeling if de ja vu this morning, beautiful weather, cup of tea, quick wash and as i walked back into the bedroom my phone started to ring. It was the hospital, this time booking me i. for several appointments.
Sat and read a few posts on here and Willow is better so decided a walk would be nice. So to the river it is.
Earlier I had read a post by Instructor57 called Running towards your goals, a 40 minute NRC run. Set it up and after some faffing with watches and phones, all of them low batteries and Willow’s with the usual syncing issues we went to the river. Walked across the bridge, stopped to take some photos. Once on the other side off I went, oh this is perfect, music and coach in my ears, warm sun on my shoulders, cool air on my arms, legs asking why they weren’t in shorts.
Cut through to the track next to the river, this is narrower with mud stones and tussocks of grass so slowed me more but I get to gaze across the water while I run.
Realised the river veers away from our usual track and hope it joins up later so I can find Willow on the way back. It does and I do, slow to a brisk walk and we listen to bird song, a blackbird I’m sure but can’t see it in the trees.
Run on and back at the bridge just over 3k so keep going, judge the distance and turn back, it’s busier here towards town so although I briefly thought of going further to run 5k decide not.
As I turn I can see Willow sitting on a bench, jacket off, face turned towards the sun, my goal to fun a little faster towards him. Legs are tiring, I’ve lost so much fitness these last few months but it has been so perfect to be out and running.
Nearly at 4k so sprint (slow sprint) over the bridge and stop the watch at 43 minutes.
Keep running, be happy and if you are resting on the IC heal well

That was a very good run for you today Sola, lovely photo of you and Willow with those other photos as well, by the way I ran a 10K this morning in preparation for the London Vitality Virtual 10,000 in early May, a little practice run and in the afternoon I got my 4th Covid 19 vaccination booster jag.
Strangely enough Oldfloss my left arm is not the least bit sore compared to the previous 3 vaccinations , the run went well too🏃🏾 👍 it's now 6 hours since I got that jag with no after effects.
Update Floss, my left arm is a little sore this morning, not too bad, I am now off to my Thursday morning walking group, we walk a 4K loop around part of the same course that I run.
Oh! Goodness me yes!!! that’s what Easter Monday is for isn’t it??? (no disrespect to anyone who believes different) I really hope it’s dry for you Monday 😀
What a beautiful day for you both, I must admit I was so confused when you wrote Willow had some syncing issues and sitting on a bench with his jacket off, I know you have talked about Willow in previous posts but for some reason I thought Willow was your CAT……so sorry Willow
Ha ha I won’t tell him 😂 no he’s the better most musical half of me, Parker is our cat and he’s just a nasty bitey scratchy animal that doesn’t even purr 😂
