Charity 5k run success

I've recently posted about my 'comeback' with the aim to be able to complete a 5k charity run this weekend. Having not been able to complete more than 20 minutes continuous running over the last 2 weeks, I was dreading today, especially as I had got some fellow colleagues to join in too. Well I'm thrilled with the outcome - ran the whole distance without stopping or walking in a personal best time! It was on the flat compared to the hills I normally run on & it was the first time I've actually run with someone else! My hip was ok throughout although my knee is complaining now! Will rest it for a few days then go for a short run! Happy days!

Well done to you Spookysmum (great username for you today) on running 5K without walking or stopping, nice also to run with someone else, just rest your knee for a few days.

Oh well done!! 👏👍🏽💪🏃🏻‍♀️ yes, take a good rest to recover. 5ks also still require me to have a good recovery, and that’s even without having had an injury.
