Where to buy long sleeved running top? (Women’s)

As the title says, now the weather is getting colder I could do with a long sleeved base layer for running. Can anyone recommend a good but cheap option? Hi vis or brightly coloured ideally but I’m on a tight budget so not too expensive if possible!

I've picked up most of my gear (New Balance, Reebok and Adidas) at a fraction of their RRP in TKMaxx. I got great base layers and a flourescent top layer there last winter as well as gear for the warmer weather throughout the year. Decathlon is also a great online option. Neither break the bank, so I don't feel guilty going back for more!

I got some kit from Decathlon recently. Reasonably priced compared with big brands and very comfortable fabrics.

Ladies has no one mentioned the auction site 😲 great bargains to be had!

Did you mean eBay or is there another? I’ve had a look on eBay but with postage prices are coming up similar to what it would be to buy anyway!

in reply to Jkm123

Ahhhhhh yep Ebay u could try Shpock

I'll weigh in with Lidl, most of my running clothes come from there!

Unfortunately don’t have a Lidl near me but that would have been good!

If you've got Aldi they can also be good, I believe, but I've only bought walking jackets from there. Otherwise it's been Decathlon and T Maxx for me. Somewhat embarrassing as my TK Maxx stuff was bought (and then not used, oops) when I still lived in the UK, so it must all be getting on for 15 years old, minimum!

Decathlon do some lovely (and cheap) run warm gear, in bright pinks and corals, £8ish for a long sleeve top. They do online too but charge delivery 👌🏼

Yes I’ve seen a bright pink one for 7.99 which i think I’ll get :) thanks

I was just about to suggest that one - my favourite top!

I have it in black, and it goes underneath the jacket, as a base layer. I am always freezing embracing my inner snail :)

I’ve got two karrimor ones from sports direct a few years ago. Super comfy, thumb holes 👍🏼, and brightly coloured too

M&S do surprisingly good running kit - I've got a blue half zip style long sleeve top from there which I love.

I agree. My favourite long, medium and short bottoms are all from M&S. Don’t have any tops though.

I agree too....my favourite long sleeve top with thumb holes is from M&S but not sure they do fluorescent colours. Good capris with thigh pocket that don’t ride up too

The thigh pocket is a game changer - no more shoving phone, keys, inhaler etc into a tiny back pocket!

My favourite go-to long sleeved top is an Asics one. It’s made of regular technical fabric so it certainly isn’t warm, but I find it perfect to run in in the winter, having shed my jacket. It keeps my arms warm and my body not overheated. Plus it’s bright pink. 🏃‍♀️🥰

Not sure if you need another option but I buy mine from uniqlo, I get the AIRism long sleeved zip top which is keeps me warm but is lightweight and breathable with thumb hols and a pocket (bonus SPF 50 too)

Also they do very lightweight waterproof ones that I also use to run.

I’ve been looking for long sleeved tops for weeks but what I have found are pink or if in another colour like blue they’re a size xs or XXL (none of which fit my current frame). Thanks for posting the question Jkm123 the replies have given alternative places to look!

There’s a site called Rerun which specialises in finding new homes for running gear with life left in it. They rate it (and price it) by condition. Been going quite a while and has repeat custom, so I think it’s reliable.

That’s good to know- & what a good idea. 😄

Thanks for the top tip Granspeed. I'd never heard of it. Have just purchased a jacket for £12 including postage!

Love this site. x

My 2 main running tops are from Decathlon and TKMaxx (an absolutely gorgeous brand called Mariko which I'm sure I would never afford at full price!) both really warm for their weight. I also have 2 Aurique tops in my basket which I'm itching to hit buy on... I bought a more expensive one from Nike in the sale (yes, still more expensive in the sale) but it isn't as good, IMO

Have a look at More Mile on-line. I have a long sleeve top that is nice and long in the body and has lovely long, long sleeves! Perfect.

I bought a nice bright orange one from Decathlon last winter which is slightly fleecy inside. Can’t remember what I paid but I know it wasn’t much and it was really comfy and warm enough without being bulky. M&S have some as well which I like because they’re quite long in the body. There is a lot out there but some prices are eye watering!

Karimor 2 long sleeves for £17 deal. Not that brightly coloured but can be black with large pink stripes down each side.
