Ok it is so weird that I now think of a 5k as a short run when at the start of the year I had zero plans to even run fit a bus!

Anyway my Apple Watch wasn’t working properly so I did all the things to fix it. Sat in my running gear in front of computer at 2 o’clock. Did everything I was supposed to but still doesn’t work two and a half hours later 😡

So this should have been me attempting to beat my PB of 37.15 but it’s late and I know I run best in the morning.

Off I go. Ahh stitch! Ow, ow, ow. Just keep running it’s not going to kill you. Ignore the pain and keep going. Why is 1k taking so long? What really only .8. Ouch!

Distance notification 1 mile, oh great I’m a third of the way!

Anyway battled through the stitch and got a bit lost while trying to avoid waiting at roads I am trying for a PB here.

Okay shattered now phone out and in hand 4.5k keep going, keep going ouch, don’t slow down.

And 5k in 32.08 😃

I can run! Maybe in a few more months I’ll be able to do it in 30 minutes.

That’s awesome 👏🏻 I’m aiming for similar too!! I’ve managed it in 34. 45 just can’t wait to get it 30 or under

Yay we crossed the finish line together 😍 I’d love to get to sub 30 and beginning to think maybe I can. Still four minutes is a long time and I really like the long slow runs more than the shorter fast ones. I need to find a hill and start some hill sprints supposed to be really good to improve speed and stamina 🤩

🥰I have a hill climb that I attempt once a month it’s an absolute killer 🙈 I almost managed to run to the top yesterday but was struggling but that’s my next challenge! Got to get up there 💪🏼 I’m not quite yet at 10 K I’ve managed to get to 8.4 so close but I’m determined to do it before the month is out!

I have a couple of miles to get to any reasonable i(sh) hill. All the places I used to feel were hills seem like what they are now, inclines. Westmintser is pretty flat. But that’s definitely my next challenge find a hill and use it! Good luck with your hill and your 10k you will get there!

She’s good but I’m going to have to drag her off the IC to a restart she’s fixed now but now we’re back at school not so motivated.

Yes it’s difficult being back at school/ work!! I found it hard running after work rather than at early doors!

I really couldn’t get my act together for a run before work as my sleep is rubbish 🙈 I wanted to be happy to run not it become a chore. Glad mini noodle is ok maybe she’ll rejoin in half term x

I will definitely get her out then 😍 I can’t run before work because I’m to slow to get the distance I want in without getting out at 5:30 and Mini wouldn’t forgive me if I left without getting her up 🙂 I’m getting used to the later runs though. It’s nice after a hard day and there are plenty of those at the moment!

Yes totally agree!! Initially I was not happy to run later but now I’m actually enjoying the stress relief 👍🏻

Well happyNoodle, sounds like you’re a super happyNoodle after that brilliant PB today, looks like you’re just a few stitches away from that sub30 min 5 k, happy running 🤗

I’m a lot stubborn. Probably should have slowed down more but I had the beat my PB goal in my head and hoped I’d get under 37 minutes so I wasn’t slowing down much. I did grip my side a bit here and there before thinking that’s slowing me down 🧐🤣

I can relate to that, my last run I was stubborn and was pushing for faster whereas mostly a gentle jog is enough for us oldies
