8K 🎯
Well, it’s certainly wet out there 🌧 Woke up this morning and after seeing the downpour outside I thought to myself that I’d run tomorrow instead ...
But - it’s also raining tomorrow and I’ve got things that I’ve planned my runs around next week so I didn’t want to cause a knock on effect by not running today 🙄
Oh well, I’m waterproof! 💪
I also don’t want to fall into the trap of postponing runs due to the weather. Otherwise I won’t run until March next year!
8K target today - no intervals because I wanted to get round and in the shower 🚿 I’m waterproof but nearly everything I wear to run in is not!
5K sub 30 minutes ✅ (Just - 29:04)
8K sub 48 minutes ✅ (Just - 47:44)
Absolutely drenched but happy 😃 that I’m still on target 🎯 with my personal 6:00 p/km average pace challenge. So, I had to complete 8K within 48 minutes ✅
I felt like I had found my 10K pace today - not slow but slower for me. Not pushing for PB’s or a race pace. (Although I did achieve 2 new PB’s 🤭). A cool, calm and collected jog today 😎
Now to make a wish list of waterproof running attire that I can’t afford 🙄 😂
