So on the 1st of October 2018 I took my very first steps of c25k and what an amazing journey its been.
I now know just like my weight loss I had to be patient with my running also and I see that now.
I still can't believe how the plans and the amazing support from these forums has got me to where I am today. I've always said that if it wasn't for this place I'm sure I would have gave up in the very early stages .
But I'm a determined person and just kept getting out 3 times a week which I've now built up to 4.
So this month I've entered the Virtual Vitality London 10,000 which I will run on the 26th of October and hope in the future to take part in an actual event whenever that can happen.
So from struggling to run through c25k to now being able to run a HM , which I've ran 2 of this year it really is a miracle and so encouraging what we are able to achieve if we just try hard enough.
Thanks to all of you I am here and loving running so much πββοΈπββοΈπ₯°

Very inspiring post from you Buddy34, from a 1 minute run on 1st October 2 years ago to running 2 half marathons since May this year, congratulations, good luck for your Viritual Vitality London 10,000 on the 26th October,
Congratulations, what an achievement. I loved hearing this as it makes me feel happier with my results at this relatively early stage, even though Iβm impatient to be as good as youπ€£ππ.
That's so amazing, it's not often that we pause and reflect on our achievements and how far we've come. Your progress is an inspiration, you must be so proud! π And you're so right, these forums are the thing that has helped a lot of us through the tough times, such a supportive bunch and loads of great advice ππ
Well done Buddy34 it's amazing what we can do when we stick with things. Hope you've enjoyed reflecting on what you've achieved in those two years. Can't agree more about these forums they are so supportive, friendly and helpful.
What a lovely post Buddy! I always appreciated your kind comments when I was doing my C25K! Youβve come such a long way in 2 years havenβt you?! Iβm definitely trailing in your wake (and will never follow you round a HM!) but itβs great to know youβre there and I look forward to reading your future posts ! Happy running!
Aww thanks. But you know as long as we can continue to run we can be happy π
Wonderful post Buddy and happy 2nd C25k anniversary.
I remember first chatting in posts with you in summer 2019 when I made my first C25k attempt before getting injured in wk9. You were always so encouraging and supportive, and when I restarted in January this year I was delighted to find you still here, running stronger than ever and inspiring me with your achievements. Enjoy reflecting on your running memories today ππββοΈπ€
Happy runversary Buddy, great story which Iβm hoping to copy π
Fantastic what youβve achieved and if I can keep going like you I hope to be in London too next October and am running my first 10k in the virtual event at the end of this month. See you out there π€
Itβs so great to hear of people whoβve kept up the running long after c25k. Very encouraging to read and I hope to be able to post something similar in a couple of years. This forum really does make all the difference and is so helpful and encouraging .
