A year since graduating C25K πŸ˜ƒ

I was running short distances for a little while before getting serious and finally starting C25K properly and it came up as a Facebook memory yesterday that it's been a year since I graduated...honestly, it feels like longer, running can be exhausting! πŸ˜…

As I've been recording my runs on one app or another since I graduated I decided to check my stats and found I've run 468 miles (753km) in the last year.

I feel really happy with that, chuffed with the fact that I've kept it up, and blessed to have found the HU C25K forum and beyond.

Thanks for all the advice and support along the way, you're all awesome πŸƒβ€β™€οΈπŸƒβ€β™‚οΈπŸ˜Š x

Congratulations on your first runniversary since graduating from C25K and my goodness you have been running a lot since you graduated, 753 kilometers, that must consist of many 10K s and perhaps a lot of half or full marathons, let alone many 5Ks, today a year ago I bought my first proper running shoes, however, I have only ran around 350 kilometers in them, that's nothing compared on how much you have run since graduation., once again congratulations. 😊 πŸƒπŸΎ

Thanks Al, it's actually an average of around 15K a week...though there are some weeks I did a lot less, and in the build up to my half marathon earlier this year I often did a fair bit more.

Congrats on your 350K, to be fair I don't cycle like you do, so for me it's all about the running!😊

Congratulations Run46 on your runniversary from graduating c25k.

It's just great when you finally find an exercise that you enjoy and stick to. Like you say it can be exhausting but so worth it . Here's to the next year.

Congratulations and very well done. So many start C25K and give up, many more graduate from C25K and then give up. But you’ve been running all year since your graduation. I found the first year was the hardest. Best wishes for you and all your running over the next year and beyond.

Thanks Damien, it's been challenging at times but that's half the fun, it's certainly a revelation 😊

Congratulations. Thats a great distance. You'll be needing a new pair of shoes before too long.

Lol, you read my mind! I've had my Ghost 11's for the last 420 miles so decided to put my birthday money to good use and ordered a pair of Ghost 12's.

I'm hoping I still get a bit more wear out of my old ones as they still look great but at least I can still wear them for walking πŸ™‚

You have done brilliantly and progressed so well! As you say, keeping it up is literally everything and gives you the platform to keep experiencing new things and achieving 😊

Thanks GTFC, there have been ups and downs but there's just something about it that keeps me coming back for more.

Not least the beautiful new shoes I will be taking for a test run this evening πŸ˜‰

Seriously though if I had to pick one thing that keeps me coming back, I think it's the sence of achievement...it's great to have something to make you feel good about yourself πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘

Gosh, totally agree! The sense of pride, fulfillment and satisfaction after is wonderful. Good luck tonight! What shoes did you go for?

Brooks Ghost 12s...I've just about worn out the 11s, as I couldn't get more of the same I'm hoping these suit me just as well πŸ™‚
