I did not get a chance to get on forum yesterday, but as I had mentioned was so nervous about this 50min run on week four. I was going to do it Friday but stuck with 30mins. Then I kept doubting myself that I could not possibly run for that long. So yesterday I geared myself up for it, I went out early and all I kept thinking was slow and steady (I kept reminding myself I am running time not distance). I started off slow, the first 10 mins were horrible I kept wanting to stop thinking there is no way I can do this. Then I started thinking how far I have come and stopped thinking about the time and just enjoy the run, by this point I was in the woods and just listened to my music, one foot in front of the other. I ran round the woods twice and then back out on to pavement, my run keeper then told me I had done 45 mins, I could not believe it, I had a steady pace at around 11.42 min per mile. Then that was it 50 mins done longest run ever and I kept a good pace did not slow down at the end and I think I could of carried on. I came home elated. I ran just over 7km, run keeper said 4.35 miles. It just proves believing in yourself you can do it. I will try not to doubt myself again. I stared couch to 5k in June to help with stress as I was working on a Covid ward and then my 14 year old daughter was diagnosed with chronic condition. Running and this forum have helped me so much. I definitely have the running bug and will continue throughout the winter, I am going to treat myself to some winter running gear. Thank you everyone for your support and great advice. x

Great post. Great run. Great attitude. Great job
Well done for overcoming your doubts and for running for 50 minutes! You only started in June so that's amazing. So much of this is a mental challenge and getting through the tough parts of a run helps so much with getting through other challenges in our lives. The cooler weather is nicer to run in too. Good luck and take care.
Great run, well done for beating those mental gremlins !! Really well done to get this far so quickly after C25K.
Great post Nicky2603 and a great run. You paced yourself well and just as importantly you cleared your mind of all those negative thoughts so you could actually relax and enjoy the run. Next time you have a negative thought when you’re running, use this little trick I use.....visualise an eraser rubbing out that thought and blowing it away......try it....it works 👍
Fabulous, that is absolutely amazing!! And great pace too 💪 what an inspiring post ☺️
Good run.You've got this.
The first post I read by you was a week or two before starting the Magic Plan. You were doubting yourself then too but look how far you've come since!
Next time you feel worried about a long run , it might be worth reading through your old posts. You have always achieved your goals in the end.
